E Party Question, Is this tacky or what ??

Hey Girls, ( sorry so long )
Just wondering if any of you have encountered this yet..

We are having our e party next month, its being thrown by my parents. It just for immed family , basicaly for the families to meet.. The only other people we are including is who is in out WP. Which again , is basically our family ,cept for 2 friends of ours.

Our familys are so da* big that this party for just 'immed' family has grown to approx 50 people..

So this is the 'tacky' thing,

My FH has a friend whom he is close to , but not in the wedding party, They speak every few weeks or so. I know hi wife, not well but know her thru my FH. We actually went away with them once, but she has a huge mouth & ran it to my FH ex. Needles to say , I dont like her very much, but I tolerate her if I have to,,

She had the nerve to call me ystrdy & as me this . vertabium

She goes, I really dont know how to as this , so I will just come out & ask, 'why isnt me & my husband invited to your f'in engagement party'

Its my enagagemnt party !! not my f'in engagment party & 2nd, its for family , no friends, .. She was then like , well why is so & so going,, I was like he is in the wedding party thats why. In other words to let her know her husband isnt in it . & Then I ws like not for nothing , MY parents are throwing it for me, & Its really not your business who I invite & whom I dont invite, With that I was, like listen I gotta go , im late for work & I hung up,,

I am still beside myself,,

The nerve Like if someone didnt invite me to something , I would neverrrrrr call em & say why aint I invited, especially like that..

My FH called her husband , but they have been playing phone tag.. Incredible,,
I guess let the fun begin huh !!!!

This is what people talk about huh?

WoW! That's incredibly balsy! I would be pretty upset by that too! And where did she think that was going to get her....an invite?! Oh yeah and then your day would be that much more uncomfortable!! Sorry!! I'm sorry you had to have that happen to you....it's just plain rude!! And don't think you were a bridezilla at all...you were telling the truth! Good for you! Hang in there!

OMG That is nuts! I would never call someone to ask... 'Why aren't I invited'. That is really tacky... she needs to get over herself!!!!

Unreal. I would never call and ask why I wasn't invited!!! That's none of her business, and it's a darn good thing you told her exactly why! Good for you!

Wow, what nerve! I would never question someone about not being invited to a party. We only invited our immediate families, close friends and close family (a couple of cousins) and that was 60 people. You definitely handled it in a great way - I don't think I would've been able to be as nice!

Yep, I couldnt belive it ,, Especially given the fact that this girl & her husband still hang with my FH ex wife,, They are like the mole, Ive been telling him that .. If you girls have seen some of my post's my fh ex wife is psyco & thats being nice!! So my fh trys to maintain a diplomatic friednship with her husband , they know each other 15 years , we went away with them , hung with them etc,, & evertime weve done anything with them they tell his ex,, Which drives us nuts..

So to call me after all kinds of drama & ask me that , I was like stuck between a rock & a hrd place cuz the men talk..

She aint my friend, i dont know her 15 years so I dont owe her nada,,,

So now my fh is meetign with him to dicsuss what happen,, well see,,

At best , 2 less people that will be getting a invite to my wedding,, Gotta cut the list down anyways,, I just was trying to respct my fh , but i thibk he is pi**ed off too

WOW!!!!

I will let you know that FI & I decided (as hard as it was) to invite JUST immediate family & the bridal party b/c it's just to hard to start inviting all your friends b/c it turns into this mini-wedding.

People need to realize it's expensive as hell to even just have an e-party!!

I actually couldn't invite some of my closer HS friends (who are not in the BP but who I remain friends w/) and I sent them all an e-mail telling them how I didn't invite them not b/c I didn't want to but b/c we decided to keep it small and not make a big deal out of it. They totally understood as should anyone!!

Wow - that woman has quite a pair!!! How rude - she deserves a nice b***h slap!!! I would NEVER in life have the balls to do something like that. So sorry you had to deal with that

Its amazing how people think that they are closer to you because you are getting married!!!

She has some big 'u know whats' to call you and say anything to you-and good for you for standing up for yourself.
