different engagement & wedding rings

Hi, Just curious, since my wedding band is different than my engagement ring-they do not go together-is it okay to wear engagement ring on right hand after wedding? My mom & our friend the jeweler said that's fine-he's seen alot of people do that. Just wanted some outside opinions. Thanks!!

different engagement & wedding rings

That's what I'm going to do. My engagement ring looks too bulky with a wedding band behind it. My FH's parents are jewlers and had it custom made for me. It is beautiful, but I was dissappointed to find out I couldn't really wear them together. Even a smaller, thinner band looked too much. My FH's father said the same thing- many people are wearing their e-rings on their right hand. I think yours will be fine that way.

Thanks, Kelly4, you just made my day!!

I have the same problem-my engagement ring is custom made and is beautiful, but we really wanted the claddagh rings for our wedding bands and they came out great, but my e-ring looks ridiculous with it. Thanks again!!

I'm old fashioned*

I personally didn't want too, I like the two rings together but my custom ring didn't really make it easy to find a match, but I figured down the line when we have children I will just want to wear my band and not worry about the diamond cutting the baby. So, spending the extra money on a custom diamond band was worth it. My other reason was my e -ring is a size 5, my right hand is a size 6... It seemed like such a pain in the but to have to worry about having a new shank put on and resizing it.. so that added expense just went to a custom band. That's just my two sents, I love my ring and I just like them together. Both my mother and my grandmother had interlocking bands with there E ring so I am just used to it and old fashioned. :)

I'm wearing them on different hands

My engagement ring just does not look good with any other ring - it takes away from both. I found a band I love and I'll wear that on my left and my e-ring on my right. It really depends on what you like. Both rings together are too much for my one hand.

springbride, crazy question..

I wear my e-ring on my left hand and My wedding ring on the left...someday I want one that fits but i like the fact that my DH and I have matching bands...you have to save somethings for anniversarys... I also wanted a ring that i could wear by itself. I have a friend who just had twins and wishes that she did not get interlocking bands just my 2cents...
