BAKERY QUEST. FOR PAST BRIDES...

i'm getting married at Jericho Terrace in Dec....i have just recently started to hear 'not so good' stories about their cakes(not the taste, just the presentation) if u want something other than the ones they provide (ie; if u bring in a picture, etc.) I was just wondering if anyone can reccomend a bakery in nassau & if u could post pictures of your cakes (or if u had JT do it!).... if u have a pic of what u WANTED it to look like, and what they actually DID, that would be even more wonderful! And your experience with the bakery of course :) Thankyou past brides! :)

Re: BAKERY QUEST. FOR PAST BRIDES...

Dortoni's Bakery in Levittown provides the cakes for JT - and they look great and taste yummy!

I say don't believe the hype.

Seriously!

I heard the same 'stories' about the cakes at my hall and honestly...it was the BEST DAMN CAKE I ever had!!! We're STILL hearing compliments on our cake.

Don't waste you money on buying another cake. My advice to you...go to the bakery (which is know is EXCELLENT!) and buy a cake...possibly the one you're interested...try it...you'll no doubt wonder what everyone was on when they made those comments!

Re: BAKERY QUEST. FOR PAST BRIDES...

We went directly through Dortoni, and I showed them a picture of what I wanted

What I asked for:

My cake:

So it was pretty similar, but they scaled the flowers to the cake size, since mine was much bigger. The color was a little different, but I still loved my cake!

Re: BAKERY QUEST. FOR PAST BRIDES...

I believe that my friend, LIW bride BKtoLI was very happy with her cake from JT's usual bakery. I am sure she will answer questions about her hall, etc.

If you are unsure, instead of spending $ replacing the cake, consider adding on some other dessert items. Some people will like your cake regardless. Everyone else can pick something else.
