Vendor Let Me Down on My Wedding Day
I really didnt want to post anything, because I dont like to bash. However, I feel what happened reflects a certain lack of professionalism on the part of a vendor that I trusted and many of you may as well. I just thought people should know what happened.I had no flowers at my church ceremony and I really wanted flowers at the church ceremony. I was told the florist's assistant set up another room on the church property thinking it was the main church. I know some may be thinking, it was probably an honest mistake, but the thing is that we spend all this money on vendors and they have one day to perform. I think it is ludacris that this vendor would send someone to decorate for a wedding and that person doesnt know where she is going or doesnt go into the parish office and ask where to set up.
I have spoken to John from Flower Michele and he has agreed to refund my money. However, he cant refund my wedding day. Those flowers didnt break my wedding day, but it was a disappointment. I will say that my bok and the girl's bok's were lovely and so were my centerpieces.

Re: Vendor Let Me Down on My Wedding Day
I'm sorry to hear you had a problem, but I definitely think you've done the right thing by addressing the issue with the vendor directly. We had some problems with Flower Michele as well (corsages and bouttonierres were mis-labeled which led to our readers and DH's stepmother not having flowers for the ceremony, pew flowers were set up wrong, some of the flower in the BM Boks were wrong), but overall I was thrilled with my flowers. I never followed up with John after my wedding because nothing was so terrible that it ruined my day and I was basically just lazy, but I'm glad you brought everything to his attention (If I had no flowers in the church I would've been LIVID!).
Hopefully they can correct those issues in the future.

But glad to hear everything else worked out and they are working with you to fix this

Re: Vendor Let Me Down on My Wedding Day
Wow, I am so sorry...I don't believe there are 2 sides to THIS story; I just think the vendor messed up. I mean, what can his side be? If he's refunding her money, he has no side.
I'm sorry, hon. But hey...you were stunning. That helps!

Wow that is awful and totally inexcusable. IMO, Flower Michele totally OVERBOOKS themselves which seems is starting to show in their work. That's just so unprofessional....glad he is refunding you but still - there is just no excuse for that!

Re: Vendor Let Me Down on My Wedding Day
Do you know who the person was that set up your wedding? I really was hoping (and assuming) that John would set my day up. Maybe I'll call to check that out. I trust him 100% to make my day perfect. I actually switched from another florist TO him because of HIM... I really hope he's the one who will be taking care of us that day! I never even thought to ask!I'm sorry that happened to you! As a bride who can't wait to see my church flowers and set-up, I know how upsetting that must have been. But I'm glad you were happy with your flowers from them otherwise! They REALLY do AMAZING work! It really must have been a very stupid mistake that was very upsetting to you.

Re: Vendor Let Me Down on My Wedding Day
Thank you for the heads up. I do agree that whoever FM sent should have been informed about the exact location-there should have been no question about it.I am sorry they even put a crink in your day.
You looked positively glowing on your wedding day, and I wouldn't give it a second thought. As long as you had a wonderful day that is all that matters.
