My trial yesterday w/ Jacqueline Nicole-Long

Hi ladies,

Went for my trial with my mom yesterday and all I can say is WOW!!! I went first and my mom and I both loved the result. My mom was up next and let me just preface with my mother has been fighting breast cancer for 2 years now and very rarely does she feel good about herself. Being 3 weeks into a new Chemo cycle she has been very run-down and all I can say is she looked amazing. We had a full day and were running everywhere yesterday and when we got home I figured she would go right to sleep. But when my dad asked her to go to mass and out to eat she couldn't resist showing off how good she looked. Matt and I stopped by about 7:45 so he could see how good she looked and she was still beaming! She got rave reviews from everyone she saw. She said she was not going to wash her face and sleep sitting up so she could go to chemo looking fabulous this morning!

Sorry so long but I thought you all should know what a wonderful experience we had. Can't wait for her to do my wedding in November. Let me know if you have questions!!

I am sooo glad that your Mom felt great yesterday. I am sure this is very difficult and feeling good about herself is so important.
JN is a very nice person and I am excited for her to do my wedding makeup too.

Yup, we both had airbrush. It was very light and made our skin look flawless!!!

Jen- I think it's great that your Mom had a good day!! She sounds like a great lady & I wish her all the luck on her chemo!!
Did you take before & after pics of yourselves?

She is an amazing women and has been through a lot. I wish we had taken before and after pics. We thought of it way after the fact!!! Definately go for a trial. It was worth the Drive.

Plans are just about finished. I just have the "little" stuff to do. I am getting very excited. 3 months from tomorrow!!!!

I had my trial on Wed and was so pleased with the results, I booked her right on the spot.

The airbrush is awesome!

I had mine on Tuesday and booked on the spot as well. The airbrush was great, and really does seem to cover much better.

My Mother is a Breast Cancer survivor so I know what you are going through. It's great that your Mom got the opportunity to feel good about herself again, she's lucky to have such a thoughtful daughter! I wish you and your Mom nothing but the best!

Thanks for your response. it is always nice to know that there are people who understand. I am happy to hear your mom beat it. While I don't think my mother wil ever beet it she continues to remain positive and is fighting. All I can do is keep her busy and positive. This wedding has done wonders for her. And I thank god everyday that she will be there.

Had to share that my mom tried her best to look beautiful for Chemo today. According to my brother she looked like a racoon this morning!
She is still beaming and my dad said he can't get over how happy she was yesterday and that she talked withn the nurses about through her entire chemo session today.

I think I need to take her to see JN more often. For all those who booked her you can be sure you and whoever else she does will look fabulous!!!!!

JENHOS--I think that it is wonderful that your Mom felt so good about herself...and I wish her only the best. I am also so happy that you found a great makeup person. Where is she located? Does she have a website I could go to? Is she expensive? Have I asked enough questions?

You can find her on the website under make-up. There are lots of posts about how great she is. She is out in suffolk exit 58 on the LIE. You have to go to her for the trial but the day of she comes to you. She charges $100 for the bride and $55 for everyone else. Airbrush is an extra $25. I am getting the airbrush it was great. I think her prices are reasonable. My hair salon charges $40 or so. and they don't do airbrush or come to the house. She does a free trial for the bride and my moms was $25. Since we had the airbrush we had to pay $25 each for the make-up. She books up fast so if oyu are thinking about it you should set up a trial!!! Hope this helps.
