First Night as Mr. & Mrs.
Where are you staying the first night after the wedding? I just booked the Garden City Hotel, but I would love to find somewhere a little different, if it exists on LI...thanks

Re: First Night as Mr. & Mrs.
We are staying at the Marriot residence in Plainview which has apartment suites-I'm staying there the night before w/my Mom & MOH & Fi & I will stay there our first night! I REALLY LOVE the GC & Roslyn Claremont, but I couldn't jusify spending more for a night on Long Island than a night in Paris

Re: First Night as Mr. & Mrs.
We stayed at the GCH on our wedding night and it was worth. every. penny!!! We had a beautiful night!!
Our family came back to the hotel after the wedding and we hung out in the bar. It was great fun!! We arrived in our own car in full wedding garb and the staff applauded for us - hehe!! The woman that checked us in was the 1st person to call me Mrs. XXX!! YAY!!!!!
I didn't book a suite or package (those prices are outrageous!!) I just booked the "Gatsby" special for $295 which included a yummy breakfast. I figured we only get 1 wedding night and I'm so glad we chose the GCH for it. I was even tempted to go back there for our 1 year anniversary next month , but we're going to Montauk Manor instead!!
Good luck with whatever you decide!! I would have slept in the car with my NEW HUSBAND if I had to!!

Re: First Night as Mr. & Mrs.
We stayed in a bridal suite in the Harrison House in Glen Cove.
We were just at a wedding this past weekend and saw the rooms at the Inn at Fox Hollow. They are also very nice.

Re: First Night as Mr. & Mrs.
We'd spent it in our apartment, it was a lot of fun. We'd had planned a Post-Wedding Party the next day immediately after our wedding thus we needed to go home to get put all our stuff away. Such stuff we had was my bridal gown, slip, shoes, bra, headpiece, veil, unity candles, unity candle tapers and stand, programs, baskets, guest book, some gifts, anniversary cake, our wedding dinner in a doggie bag, etc. Plus, we also wanted to save money on getting a hotel since we'd spent a lot already.
However, every bride and groom is different--different preferences, different budget, etc... Spending it in our apartment was special to us since it was OUR home and just the two of us.
