Please Help! 6 days to wedding! Which goes first vows or unity candle?

I know ring exchange goes after unity candle. (asked this previously on LIW)

Does this order sound ok? Tell me how you think I should change the order?

Unity Candle
Declaration of Intent
Exchange of Vows
Exchange of Rings

I also want to throw in a rose ceremony after the rings. Fiance thinks this may make the ceremony too long.

We are trying to print programs today AND we are meeting with our minister tonight!

I think it goes this way (someone else can probably confirm):

Declaration of Intent
Exchange of Vows
Unity Candle
Exchange of Rings

Unity Candle is always towards the end - after vows, ring exchange and everything else. That's how I've always seen it done.

AGH - I didn't realize your wedding is SO soon! I have to post my Tahiti review first thing on Monday (tomorrow) for you!!!

I don't think they will let you do the unity candle lighting until after the vows and rings are exchanged. Ask your officient. See what he/she says.

On second thought, I'm pretty sure you are right!

The unity candle gets lit once you are united as husband and wife. So, it goes after the vows and ring exchange because that's you still 'getting married'.

Do your programs after meeting with your officiant!!! You'd be surprised what things the officiant will tell you!! You can always bring a rough copy of your program and ask him what he thinks.

Re: Please Help! 6 days to wedding! Which goes first vows or unity candle?

Is this the order if you are doing a ceremony and not a full mass? I'm only doing the ceremony and have no idea what it entitles. All i do know is that i have to pick a reading from the old testament and the new testament and i can do the unity candle. What's the order for just a ceremony?
i have no clue
