Can you plesae let me know what gym you belong to and how much you are paying?
I am in Bay Shore and I am looking for something near there.

I currently go to LA Fitness in Farmingdale. I paid a 75 dollar memeber fee and 50 dollars a month. I like it there bc it is really clean, they have alot of equipment and they also have a lap pool.
I used to belong to All 4 Sports and Fitness in West Islip. It is on sunrise highway in the shopping center right next to atlantic automall. if i remember correctly they are 560 a year and something like 34 or 40 a month...not positive though. HTH

Armitraj is in Bay Shore. I recently looked at it, and it was 45 a month I believe....

They have 3 locations in centereach, selden, & middle island. The 2 in selden & middle island are women only and the centereach one is both men & women & is open 24hours. I prefer the womens only one but thats just me! Anyways they are $10.99/month with a think a setup fee of like $40. They don't have as much equipment as the large gyms but I like it and think its enough. Oh yea and you don't have to sign a contract you go month to month.

You could also join the Y I think it's like $40 mo, too

I used to go to Armitraj!! I was thinking of joining a gym again though. So I wanted to see what else was out there besides this one. It stinks because I work in the city and by the time I get home...who really wants to go to the gym at 8pm!!

I usually work out after 7, but I know how much it stinks going to the gym so late. All you want to do is crash!

I have the EXACT same problem...work in the city...live in Bay Shore....I used to be part of NYSC...that's good because you can use the gyms in the city, but I never wanted to work out at lunch....I may get FH and I a membership to Armitraj for Christmas....

I got to Armatraj, I pay about $48 a month. It's easy for me though, I live literally around the corner, so I go in the mornings before work.

No I work at Brookhaven lab, so I have a much shorter commute.
