Calligraphy Class
In case anyone is interested, Michael's in Westbury (by Home Depot/Expo) is having a class in calligraphy this Sunday afternoon 3-5. I signed up so I can learn and try to address my daughter's wedding invitations.

wow what a great idea.! gee what a coincendence. i just sent the list to my calligrapher. i could have saved a few hundred if i knew how to do it myself

I dont want to burst any bubbles but I took that class with my sister when she was getting married in the hopes of learning calligraphy for her invites and although it was a lot of fun, calligraphy is really hard! I practiced for a while after taking the class but it seems two hours wasn't nearly enough time to learn enough to be able to address invitations in the style you see professionals do it. Or maybe we were just spazzes! Good luck though, hopefully you'll be awesome!

I took that class last year in Commack. I wasn't very good but the class was great! Enjoy!
