Dare I call this the OFFICIAL HOLIDAY SHOPPING GUIDE?????

Since the season is quickly approaching, maybe we can all help each other out with some shopping ideas for the family. What are you getting or thinking of getting for your family and in-laws. Please go into specifics such as, "Mary my sister-in-law.....glove and scarf set". This will help tons!

DH family has 3 brothers and wives/girlfriend so we do a grabbag and spend $50 per person. The kids always get though. My sister is hard to get for. She has money. Our birthday is also in Dec, so it is a double whammy. My brother and I don't exchange but for the kids. I will probably get mom and her husband something for the house and the children give me a mile long wishlist.

For our parents, we're designing albums on snapfish or shutterfly.
For most of my friends- I'm baking a variety of cookies, making dipping oils, chocolate covered pretzels-all sorts of goodies. I did it last year and they were a big hit.

Here's what we got so far:

1. DH's Uncle - Wii Game (he loves Wii)
2. FIL - Keurig Coffee Maker
3. DH's only girl cousin - bare minerals eye starter kit & bare escentuals lipstick set.

I haven't given this much thought yet. I know i'm giving DH a luggage set with tickets to NC in it for his nephew/godson's communion in may. I went to get my SIL some pieces to her china but it's discontinued so this is going to be a major task! I want to get my mom an outfit for the gym and that's all I have so far.

Ugh...it's so hard to think of things..

My parents: probably a Keurig coffee maker and then some little things..like nightgown for mom and tshirts for dad

Fil: NO IDEA..

MIL: we got her this cool floating cooler from Ltd..she's constantly in the pool all summer, usually drinking a corona..other than that..I have no clue

Plus we have Dh's two step-bros, they're 14 & 15. And the 15 year old's bday is in December too!

My Bro hates gifts (he's wierd) so we get him a gas gift certificate and he's happy with that.

My sister is easy, some clothes and accessories, a dvd, etc.

I'm getting Dh a blueray Dvd player and some dvds.

for my gorgeous hot little nieces, ages 5 and 7, who i love to spoil, i am upgrading the Uggs i got them last year.

that's all i'm 100% sure of.

I use Shutterfly or Snapfish, also! Every year I make calendars for my family - it was easy this year b/c all the main photos came from the wedding day and RD night! I also make a calendar and planner for my BFF, one for myself that I bring to work, and one for DH (which now has to encompass my people, too, since it's in OUR house LOL).

For his family, I have no clue! His sis is making me join her for black Friday shopping this year I already told her I will go this once, and if I hate it, I am not going with her again

DH and I are thinking of just getting each other tattoos this year. We are moving so we dont want to go crazy and make more stuff for us to pack!

for my parents i am thinking one of 2 things....
they need a new phone for the house so bad i cant even talk to them on it because it sounds like they are in a cave!! so i want to upgrade that for them OR take all the money we would spend on each other and put it towards plane tickets for them and my brother to come visit us when me move.
my bro....same as abouve excpet that if i dont do the plane ticket thing i will probably make him a lil gift basket of food and such hes a college student in NYC with no job! haha hes a starving artist! (sorry i ammuse myself)

his father and step mom and their kids-NO CLUE

his mother and step father and their 3 kids we usually send gift cards....they live in florida and it is just easier because we have no idea what to do for them and the dont help much!! hahaha

his 2 uncles and their familes on his dads side we are making a breakfast basket with a pankcake puff maker (as seen on tv
) and we are putting a mug in there for each member of the family and i am going to make hot chocolate cones with the poweder and marshmellws in it along with home made cookies chocolates and cocolate cover pretzles as well as jars filled with the dry ingredents to make pankcakes (cocolate chip and reg) and each basket will have a few diffrent touches to make it more personal for that family

my aunt and DH`s other 2 aunts and their familes we are doing the same basic idea except it will be cookie mixes in the jars with cookie cutter and sprinkes and all sorts of things to decorate the cookies. as well as the hot coco and mugs and home made goodies!

for one set of grandparents we are thinking of doing a similar basket but with coffee and tea instead of hot coco
and dh`s other grandma lives with one of his uncles so we dont want to make another basket for just one person and we dont want to included her in theirs but perhaps we will...idk yet!!

DH- Already got him a Yankee thing. It's a framed picture of the stadium. I'm not sure what else though......

My nephew- TOYS!

My Mom- A LILL Bag

DH's Mom- No freakin clue

My Dad- a Shadow box with our ticket to our last mets game together in shea, one of the budlight bottles I saved (he forgot to take his), plus a picture of us from a few games. & then probably something for his boat.

DH's Dad- again, no idea. Maybe Islanders tickets

My sister- scrapbook of my nephews first year.

My brother- some sort of video game I'm sure.

both of my BIL- No idea

SIL- something for their house

My nanny- no idea

Grandparents-- Oye, no idea!

Friends- I think this year, I might do baskets filled with "heart warming" items. Make chocolate covered preztels, pre-made cookie mix, mugs with hot chocolate mixes...etc..etc..
