What do the receptions halls typically require for a down payment? I have chosen my hall yet. Just trying to get an idea. I have a good chunk of money set aside. Do they require payment on the spot when you decide to book? If so how much?

they tend to charge from 500-1000 my hall asked for a 500 deposit....
Going back to the thread post!! FH's family and my family are taking care of the hall so so far 3 payments(including the deposit) had been made and my 2nd duet payment was due 2 weeks ago so i am ok with the photog until the year of the wedding...we are trying to focus on dj now
