How long does it take ...to do a bustle on a dress????

i just called Davids Bridal..and they told me it would take them 3 weeks to do a bustle...i was like ***....the seamstress...before told me i would pik the dress up the same day

no offence dut davids alteration people are all freakin morons i swear.....
all they have to do is add buttons and hooks no?or are you looking for a more involved bustle?

i would call or talk to local dry cleaners most of them do alterations

yep they are!!!!!!! i just need buttons...i told them that it would take me ..2 mins to do it...and that im comin in tom..w the dres... n they better get it done!!!!!!

No offense but I agree with Shell...I wouldn't get alterations etc done by DB. My salesgirl even told me not to.

You have to think you arent the only bride they are working with...they are doing bustles and alts for more than just one or two people ya know?

yea..i know...but the lady was telling me like im a retard...like it takes..soo long to do the bustle..i asked her about them being busy and she told me its nothing to do with that!!!!>..im like...i guess...if u are a seamstress...u cant even saw..3 buttons..to a dress...u idiot..... i told her im coming in tom and i want it done..right in front of me...lol ( thats wt the other seamstress told it to me..when i bought the dress)..

watch out...bridezilla on a loosee!! hahahhahahahahha

3 weeks? that is a bit much, and during normal circumstances i would just say ok its not an emergency so no problem to wait but your wedding is in about that much time. They had to hem my dress, but in order to do so they had to remove ALL the beading on the bottom of my dress, hem the dress then by hand put all the beading back on and they did that in 2 weeks actually maybe even just under that. And her saying its not even bc they are busy makes it even more weird.
