Does anyone have any ideas for an inexpensive rehearsal dinner?

And I mean, REALLY inexpensive? Something we can do on a Thursday night...for about 25-30 people??

This is really last minute, but we are freaking that we might need to have one.

I don't know where you're coming from, but Annabella's in Farmingdale, starts at $16 pp - 22 pp.

It would have to be further in..Brooklyn/Queens/Nassau....and not necessarily a restaurant..any ideas would be great!!

you can order something at a deli (cold cuts, ziti) and have it at someones home. Cant get any cheaper than that.

Re: Does anyone have any ideas for an inexpensive rehearsal dinner?

Have a barbeque or catered finger food party in a house. A family style restaurant might also work for you.

Re: Does anyone have any ideas for an inexpensive rehearsal dinner?

I don't think getting it catered will be cheaper. If you want to cook it yourself it's another story. You can have a self-serve (buffet style) party at the home. It doesn't have to be dinner, it could be finger-foods. People can make their own tacos, have dips, chicken wings, you can make a large tray of ziti, etc. Also check Applebees, I think they're like $14 pp.

Re: Does anyone have any ideas for an inexpensive rehearsal dinner?

misty, we went through this not to long ago (FH wanted one, I didn't think we could afford it and we are getting married at the hall) we actually choose annabella's in farmingdale. (decided that it was just easier!) But while I was researching posts here on line, there were lots of suggestions, like Chinese bouffet, pizza place or have it at someones house, maybe heros or something.

Re: Does anyone have any ideas for an inexpensive rehearsal dinner?

That's our exact problem...we both want it, but we'd have to foot the bill ourselves and it's another expense that is just too hard to take on right now. We are also getting married at the hall, so this wouldn't be a rehearsal in the truest sense of the word really. We are both starting to feel like it will be a necessity to have everyone in the same room to explain everything and lay it all out...we have a pretty large bridal party...

I'm going to start looking into every option so all of this really helps! Thanks!!

What about Giordino's in Little Neck or DOuglaston- they have catering menus that are less than $20.

Re: Does anyone have any ideas for an inexpensive rehearsal dinner?

Why don't you have it your house or parents house and have a deli or something cater it. My parents are having it at there house and my mom is probably going to do that

I think Hunan Gourmet in Merrick on Merrick Road has a lunch thing going on , there is a private room in the back and a short time ago it was under 10.00 a plate. Give them a call, they could always tell u the special is not on anymore.

Re: Does anyone have any ideas for an inexpensive rehearsal dinner?

there is villa marcello's on rockaway blvd. A friend of mine had her baby shower, wedding (on a friday night in the big room), sisters bridal shower, baby shower and wedding in the place.

For the baby showers we were in a smaller room and it was great. It was a small private room and the food and service was really good
