So while everyone interpruts everything as me being pregnant, the general consensus from both moms is we are not ready yet financially. My dad agrees but also thinks since I am not really working it would be a good time to get pregnant. So he is mixed. While my mom isn't pressuring me yet, she also doesn't want me to wait to long. FIL is driving us nuts, but that is because he doesn't have the ability to sensor himself. He keeps saying 'you know what this family needs? a little girl.'

We want to wait a year at least. We have to adjust to living with each other first.

By the way... when it does happen... I want a girl, DH wants a girl, the in-laws want a girl, my mom wants a girl, my dad doesnt' care... we are so having a boy.

Morning Ladies!

I want to burn DH alive today...we had a big blow out this morning because he is sloppy and I'm always cleaning up after him.....so as of this moment, my answer is that we are not having children until he stops acting like one!


Lol. That aside...

I've been pretty forthcoming with the fact that we don't plan on having children for a couple of years. We plan on going to the World Cup next year and also want to visit souteast Asia before trying to get preggers. Also..we need to buy a house.

Given my career, people understand since it's not conducive to motherhood AT ALL. I also have to start thinking alot about what track I am going to take at work. I can't continue in my current role and be the type of mother I want to be.....I don't want a nanny raising my children.

So with that said, we need time to plan all of this and get everything in order. Given our lifestyle, people respect it.

Happy Friday to everyone!

For us, we have already begun TTC. Even though we just got married in September, we have been together for over 3 years and we are both in our 30's (I'm 31 and DH will be 32 on Tuesday). We bought a house last year so we are ready.

We don't really have anyone pressuring us per se, but we do get asked by his mom and some of my friends if we are thinking about having a baby soon.

I never imagined TTC would be so hard! There is a total of 5 days per month you can actually fertilize and egg...5 DAYS!! That is crazy! I have been lurking on the TTC board on LIFamilies and it is soooo overwhelming! I think for the first few months we are just going to go about it the regular old fashioned way and then if it gets to 6 months and nothing has happened then I will start temping or tracking my fertility with monitors and such.

everyone asks soooo are you gonna have babies soon??? majority of my friends and family know that i am just not ready for that, i still want to live my life a little, be able to go on vacations and party all night ....i have a few more years left in me

on the other hand DH can't wait, he wants kids NOW, but he respects my decisions and we will wait for at least another year or so.

We'll probably wait around 3 years or so because i want to finish up school, get a better job as does DH and save up for a bigger place. My mom keeps throwing hints even wrote something in a card she gave us for the wedding lol but sorry just not yet.

The only people who really pressure me are the people I used to work with… but they were talking about my baby shower before I even got married.

One of my friends is getting bad too but only bc I think they’re going to start trying soon, so she wants us to be preggo at the same time.

Our plan is to wait until this summer, when hopefully we’ll have just bought or moved in to a house.

my aunt called me a few days after the HM to welcome us home and to ask 'are you pregnant????'

last week, my friends mom was like 'you look tired, are you pregnant?'

it's crazy!!! no pressure just yet. infact, my mom wants to see us get settled in the house (closing in Nov!!!!!!) before we start anything and I see her point. but if it happens, it happens!! if i had it my way, i'd be 4 weeks preggo by now!! we're going to start trying in the spring!

The only person putting pressure on us is me.... I am 36 and dont have time to wait. DH and I have been together for 5 years and living together for 3 so we are beyond the HM phase even before we were married.

We talked about our timeline way before we were even engaged. I have a few medical issues I am taking care of now and hope that by the holidays I will be cleared for babies.....we just went into contract on our house also so we will be set for baby when it happens

NOBODY IS PRESSURING US!!! LOL! lol i might be pressuring my DH a little bit...
I kinda wish they were! Cuz i wanna have kids soon! i know we cant cuz we wanna have a house first and blah blah blah! and everyone agrees thats why we are getting no pressure, but ugh i just want a baby soooo bad! lol and it just ***** that we cant just have one yet!!! Everyone else i know who just got married is i guess in a better situation than us (already have a house, make alot of money...that sort of thing) and i just wish that we were all set and ready to go!

I always wanted alll boys! didnt want any part of me having a winey bratty girl like i was! haha my SIL wanted a girl sooooooo bad! she had a boy...so i know ill get the girls!!

lol but i kinda want a girl now, because my brother has a boy, my BIL has a boy, my other BIL is prob going to get his new wife prego like asap, im hoping they have a boy too (my luck he will have a girl tho) then I can have the first GIRL!! lol

Noone is pressuring us yet.. but we have only been married 20 days!

We both agreed to wait a year then start trying.. but I feel like I might not be able to wait that long.

I said I wasnt going to change my name for the first year and i just did it the other day.. so lets see how long I last on the 'no baby' bandwagon.

No one is pressuring us but my parents always talk about their unborn grandchildren!! I tell them they should talk to my sister. I definitely want to wait at least 1 year before we even try for kids.

SO far we haven't had any pressure-but we've made it VERY clear to everyone that after our 1st anniversary, we wouldn't necessarily start TRYING, we would just STOP PREVENTING..

We both feel like we want to be selfish for a while and be all about each other without planning a wedding or a baby or whatever.

Obviously things happen, if we did get pregnant sooner we'd consider it a blessing..

If I have all boys I feel bad for them, because I have to dress someone up. My mom used to make me dresses to match my dolls and hairclips to match my dresses and I want a little girl like that. Besides its my only excuse to make a room in my house pink.

There's no pressure for kids. Actually the exact opposite. Everyone tells me we're too young...I just think it's more like I'm too young (because DH is 3 years older than me). I have no desire to be pregnant anytime soon (our plan is 5 years), but I really want to be a mom.
