I've had long hair since like 11th grade and I think it's time for a change.This is my hair on our HM:
and this is what I am thinking of doing:

Go for it!! Just make sure you will be able to style it the way you want to-whenever I do a drastic haircut, I have the stylist teach me how to blowdry and style it. Because there's nothing worse than getting a faboosh new haircut and then getting home and being like 'UGHHHHHHHHH W T FFFFF'

Good idea. The one thing I am worried about, which happened last time I had short hair, was the bottom flipping outward. I spend enough time with the blow dryer now (with long hair) that I'll save so much time with short hair, and be willing to put a few extra minutes into it.

Bumping this, because my hair appointment is at 6 pm tonight. As of now, I am being a chicken, but I am hoping my mood changes. My hair dresser can also be very convincing and has been wanting to chop my hair for a while.I'll let you know what I decide.

I think that cut is great. But Jen is right. I had my hair DRASTICALLY chopped and it was hard to style. IMO, having short hair is more work than long hair... But that's because I have curly hair so it's 10 times the work for me. But, if it's straight naturally, DO IT! It's a hot look.
