Calling all Patken Brides

I also posted this on the BHB board:

Did anyone add the photojournalistic photographer in addition to their main photographer?

I remember them mentioning it when I booked them and I said no but with 6 months to go I'm second guessing myself b/c I have fallen in love with photojournalism.

Just looking for some input on the situation - will need to make up my mind very soon if I decide to do it.

Any info would be appreciated!!!!

The peson you have in your profile (vinnie) what is his specialty?? is that how they hire out the photographers?? You choose them by what they shoot best?? If you do not hire the photojournalist, does this mean, the photographer that you have now (vinnie) will he only shoot posed pix??

I have the same photographer as LisaT........I don't think she used the photojournalistic extra but I'll ask.

He is artsy to begin with so I can just ask him to take some pics for me when I meet with him in August.

Lori, if you have the same photographer as Lisa, you are going to be so darn happy, I loved her pix. He will do a good job.

Oh I cannot wait to get together with you, girl you would be so proud of me, today I mixed my blue and green eyeshadow and it gave me this great combination. I cannot wait to have our date.

I didn't hire an additional photojournalist - I thought about it, but it wasn't in the budget at the time. Looking back, I would've loved some more candid / photojournalistic pictures . But Vinny does have an artistic eye and does not do all posed shots.

I used Steve and along with my other photos he did some photojournalistic pics. Ask if you photographer will do some this style also

I called the studio and spoke to Doug - they never cease to amaze me with their professionalism and honesty. He said to save my money and just tell Vinnie that I want photojournalistic pics along with my traditional ones.

I just thought it was so great of him to be so honest. I definitely picked the right studio!!!!!

LisaT - you have been such an amazing help. I can't thank you enough!

Shamma - I am so proud of you!!!! You are too fabulous
