My 5/24/03 wedding vendor review

Let me start off by saying that my wedding day was everything I wanted it to be. Thank you to everyone here who helped give me some ideas to make the day even more special. I'm giving everyone an A+, even though they all deserve A++++++.

Photographer: Photography by Penny.A+
We hired Penny as a freelance photographer even though she works out of Ariana studios. She was amazing. ALthough I don't know how the shots came out, I can tell that she had a great eye for photos. She showed up 5 minutes early and was ready to start shooting as soon as she got there. With my niece being sick some of the photos were very difficult, but Penny was so patient and worked with us. It was very important to Chris and me that we were in the cocktail hour and Penny stuck to her promise that we could be. We only had about 45 minutes to get from the church to the Fox Hollow and have our pictures done. Penny was done with us within 15 minutes of the cocktail hour and we were able to enjoy about a half hour of it. She really was great and I highly recommend her.

Video: Bellarino. A+. Phil and Kate are such great people. They were there for the entire ceremony and reception and it looks like they were taking a lot of video. Once again I wont know until I see it, but it looks like they did a great job. We knew they were there, but they were not constantly pulling at us. Chris told me that they were there before he even got to the church. They are very professional and so friendly.

Limo: Royalty Limo. A+. Our driver, Mike, was so great. He was joking around with us and just looked like he really loved his job. He picked up the guys early, got them to the church 10 minutes earlier than we had planned and then got to me early. Mike was really nice and helped us out a lot. He directed the bridal party in the church and was there for anything we needed him to do. The limo was clean and looked great. Chris had left me a little note in the limo and Mike made sure that I got it. I can't tell you how impressed I was with Royalty.

Flowers: Flower Michele Florist. A+. Our flowers showed up early, which was a nice surprise and they were so beautiful. I can't wait to post pictures of them. Hopefully I'll have some before I leave for my honeymoon. Everyone was amazed with how beautiful our flowers were, especially my mother in law who is not an easy person to please. Our guests were telling us that the flowers were the most beautiful flowers they have ever seen at a wedding. And all of the flowers lasted all day long. John really does amazing work and anyone who has booked with him, let me tell you that you'll be very happy with your choice.

Reception: Fox Hollow. A+. Words can't even describe how incredible the Fox Hollow was. The food and service were incredible. We've had guests calling us to tell us it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The bridal assistant was there for me the second I stepped out of the limo and was there at any time that I needed her. I am allergic to onions, which I warned them about ahead of time. When we were walking from the photography studio to the cocktail hour, the maitre'd went over all of the foods that I couldn't have. The waiters were very attentive to Chris and me. Everyone was offered seconds for our dinner course. It was so amazing. Everything ran so smoothly there and we were blown away with how amazing the Fox Hollow was. At the end of the day they had all of our stuff packed up and walked with us to the Inn next door, where we were staying. They insisted on carrying everything up to our room for us and made sure we were comfortable before they left. Anyone who has booked with the Fox Hollow, let me reassure you that you have nothing to worry about at all with them. During the reception Joe Scotto, one of the owners, came over to us to ask us how everything was going. I was very impressed with this. They did everything we asked them to do and more.

DJ: Sensational Sounds. A+. They were very professional and a lot of fun. Our dance floor was packed all day. They played all of the music that we wanted them to play and even came up to us during the reception to ask us if there was anything they hadn't played yet that we wanted to hear.

We stayed at the Inn at Fox Hollow the night of the wedding and I was blown away with their service. Chris and I threw an after party for our bridal party and close friends at the Inn. They had all of the food ready to go right at the time that we wanted to start. We had our own private bartender who was great. We wanted an alcohol that they normally don't have and our bartender sent someone next door to the Fox Hollow to get us a couple of bottles. One of our friends got VERY drunk and couldn't drive his car from the valet over to the Inn. The banquet manager went over to the Fox Hollow himself and brought the car over. The rooms were beautiful and the Inn is so nice. The next day one of my friends needed to catch a train within 10 minutes and there was not enough time to get her a cab. Once again Bruce offered his services. He drove my friend to the train station so that she could catch her train.
