Aruba or Sandals St.Lucia?

I know this has probably been discussed before, but I am confused! I keep looking up the two and both sound great. Which one do you think? Help!

Re: Aruba or Sandals St.Lucia?

I wasn't sure about the Aruba thing, there is only one Sandals there. We are going to St. Lucia cuz there are three Sandals, more options. BTW, some friends of ours went to both, liked St. Lucia better cuz they thought it was prettier. That is truly a matter of opinion though since I know people who love Aruba.

Re: Aruba or Sandals St.Lucia?

In alll honesty, they are both really great choices, I like the sandals b/c it is truly all inclusive & there are NO KIDS at that resort, EVER! That was a big deal for me.

Re: Aruba or Sandals St.Lucia?

Just so you know, soneone who posted said there is only 1 Sandals in Aruba, there are no Sandals in Aruba, she might have gotten confused with Antigua. I loved Aruba because it is so different than most islands I have been too. It is a very dry island, not much rain, so the hotels are the only places you will trees and stuff. It is outside the hurricane belt so if you are traveling before November it is good, no hurricane will hit the island. You don't need an all inclusive in Aruba. There are so many places to eat outside your hotel, you limit yourself by getting an all inclusive. They are great, you dont have to worry about money but not in Aruba. Sandals in St Lucia has 3 hotels. The newest one is the Grande St Lucian, it is supposed to be beautiful (I have sent clients there and everyone loves it). They are all inclusive, no need to carry money around, you can eat and drink as much as you like. Again, I don't know when you are traveling but if it is before November, you can have a hurricane hit this island. My friend went to Sandals Golf and Spa last year for her Honeymoon and LOVED IT!!! There is some sightseeing to do on St. Lucia but there is probably a bit more of sightseeing to do on Aruba. If you want more info, let me know!!

Re: Aruba or Sandals St.Lucia?

With Aruba, you are not stuck in a resort, you can tour the whole island, its very safe

Re: Aruba or Sandals St.Lucia?

We went to the Grande St. Lucian and it was amazing. I am dying to go back there. The food and service were perfect, it was a tropical paradise. I have never been to aruba, but I can assure you the the grande was wonderful. FM me if you want to see my pics or get more info.

Re: Aruba or Sandals St.Lucia?

I've never been to aruba so I can't comment about that, but we went to sandals halcyon in march and absolutely loved it! However, if you are interested in a lot of water sports I would recommend the grande because the water is calmer there. We were at the halcyon for 5 days and none of the days were watersports available due to rough water. The food, the grounds, the service and everything else was wonderful. Feel free to send FM if oyu have more questions!
