Culinary Brides
Hi ladies, I got a call this evening saying that I was one of the 5% who won the contest from the bridal showcase I went to last night---the woman, Arleen said that I had the choice of 2 titanium wedding bands or a 3 day/2 night stay at hotel to places like Orlando, Hawaii, New Mexico, etc.... and then went on to book us to come Monday to check out (I think?) cookware and whatever it was their company offered at a hotel in Farmingville and that we will be able to choose our gift then. She suggested looking at their website with my fiance': www.culinarybride.com and when we went to take a look at it, the website is inactive. Clearly that tells us something... but has anyone else gotten this call??? It definitely all sounded too good to be true.We do not plan to go on Monday night now.... but I was just curious to see if anyone had experience with this company. Thanks in advance!

Re: Culinary Brides
I never heard of them! But one time I 'won' a cruise, but it wasn't really winning... there were a lot of hidden fees. It's good you are asking around!

Re: Culinary Brides
I think I won a similar one last year at Bridal Expo in Uniondale, but I never went. I googled it up first and apparently lots of people won it. Its to get you to buy a bunch of stuff from their catalogue when you go to the meeting? You could always check it out if you are free. I just didn't bother, I'm always skeptical but then again I may have lost out on a nice trip!

Re: Culinary Brides
Sounds very fishy. I think a few brides on here 'won' that prize and it was a waste of time or they didn't even bother going.

Re: Culinary Brides
I 'won' that prize as well, not too long ago. It's similiar to a timeshare show.....they'll lock you up in a room for 3 hours and try to sell you more.

I JUST got the same exact phone call. They told me that all we had to do was go to the Hampton Inn on Route 112 tomorrow afternoon with ID. My FH is still in the hospital so she told me that she would call back next time they were in town, in about 4-6 weeks. It's got to be a scam. I was going to look into the website but I guess you already answered my question. Let me know if you do go!

Wow, yeah we had the choice to go tomorrow or Monday.
It's funny because I don't even know where they are located, but when I got the message & called them back-they asked what state I was calling from. So I thought that was odd from the beginning!
But yeah, no we're not going haha
