vent--- BM dresses (edited a little)

For weeks i've been saying i wanted to go this sat to look at dresses... she tells me now that her husband is off this sat and they want to go do something!! i've been planning this for WEEKS to go!!

GRRRRR!!! just had to vent!!!

edited down just in case there are prying eyes.... (you never know!!!!)

ETS- pretty much her answer to me was "settle down, its not definite, its only monday we'll talk about it" Ummm hello... i have 2 other people to coordinate this with, not just her. I'm not one to make plans last minute... i just can't do that.

she is the MOH... and my FSIL!!! She just doesn't understand that when you say you're going to do something and be somewhere, you can't just CANCEL IT because you want to go to the zoo!!!! I totally feel like i can't rely on her anymore!

I just started BM dress shopping and it's been a real pain in the A$$ so far.

YOU should just pick out something YOU like and tell your girls to go get it.

yeah... its going to be REAL fun... this is the same girl that said "Not really my style" when i showed her a dress i wanted!!! HELLO its not about your style!!!
(luckily one of the other girls has the same taste as me... good taste hehe!)

Don't take anyones sh*T! This is YOUR day and the girls have to wear what YOU want.

I still say get a dress that YOU like and present it to the BM. Don't give them the option!

I'm actually getting crap from my MIL! HELLO??? She's not even in my bridal party!!!

That is SO not nice of her...she has to be given a reality check and realize that YOU come first in this situation, since you have had this planned for weeks!

I took one of my co-workers who is old enough to be my mom but is one of my best friends... Any way, I tried on the bridesmaid dresses for her and got her input on it. I narrowed it down to 3 but liked 1 in particular. I took the rest of the girls and my MOH who is VERY picky tried it on and liked the one I liked. It was a style that EVERYONE looked good in.

Is it me but, all the weddings I've been in I never had a say. So guess what? nether do they for my wedding. Ha Actually, all but one(fsil) live out of state. So I actually found my BM's dress without a problem. I would of loved for them to have come with me to pick out the dresses but I think it worked out better this way. Actually, I went to try on bridal gowns at a bridal salon and afterwards I peeked over the BM'S section and I tried on at least 10 BM's dresses! I fell in love with one of the dresses and knew that was the one! The dress flattered all shapes!

I am also having probs with my MOH....she still hasn't given me her size! ARggh! Good luck with your situation. Remember, it is your wedding and you should pick out what you like and not try to please everyone else.

i've put her in charge of calling the bridal salons to make appts if necessary... and if its not done by a certain date... I"M PICKING THE DRESSES!!!! and giving them NO SAY!!!
its not so much they have a say right now, cuz i know what look im going for... but i want her to try them on to make sure it will look good on all of them...
but for them just not liking the dress... i don't care!!!!
