Those flowers and dresses are very pretty - thanks for the ideas. I really like the way the yellow looks.

Re: Color Scheme for a Summer Wedding

I am getting married the day after you are and I am also unsure about colors! I think that once i meet with florists, I will have some more ideas (hopefully!). I am leaning towards periwinkle blue or light blue dresses and flowers that are white & blue with peach and yellow accents. Not totally sure yet...

Re: Color Scheme for a Summer Wedding

I actually gave control to the FH in this respect (as this is my 2nd wedding & his first). I would have liked to go with the ice blue, but he really wants that mint/light green color, which is pretty also. Any light/pastel color would be fine...stay away from the rich tones.

You can also do a silver/platinum color.

Re: Color Scheme for a Summer Wedding

I heard stay away from pastels because they dont show in the photos. Just goes to show you that everyone has a differnt opinion! My wedding is March 28, so it could be spring or winter! I'm going with spring and hoping for the best as far as the weather! We are having Pale yellow dresses. It is called Butter. We are having yellow roses and daisys............. I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Color Scheme for a Summer Wedding

I guess that's true about the pastel colors.. maybe I will stop by a few photographers before I pick out my dress color and see if they have any pics with girls that had light colors to see how it looks. I love that bouquet!!!! It's beautiful!!

Re: Color Scheme for a Summer Wedding

Thanks...I love it too. I have seen pictures from pastels, to darks...... the photographer should be able to make it work. I have never seen a wedding photo where the dresses look washed out. Like I said everyone has a different opinion. Just pick what you LOVE! You'll never regreat it that way! Good luck! :)

Re: Color Scheme for a Summer Wedding

I was just in a wedding this July and she had us wear irridensant red. I will try to post a picture. The color was more like a Hot pink. Sounds crazy, but the pics comes out awesome because the color just pops. It was a perfect color for the summer.
