starting to really hate my company....

I want me and my co-worker to go into NYC for a visit of my companies other sites. This required me to find sub coverage for the day for both of us. I do all this and then I am told, we will approve your co-worker, since she is a lwoer level than you and has limited exposure to other employees, & you get to meet others ar our bi-annual meetings. Mean while I've been with the company 3 years and have never seen most of the NYC sites,,,nice to have her seen them and not me - her boss (makes me feel stupid). They said if I want to go, I would have to go into work for a few hours, so not to pay for all the hours of coverage & pay my own travel expense. (they want to save the money for continuing education expenses....which I did not even ask for last year!)

How cheap can a company be than to want me to pay for travel expense of $30.

Let's not even talk about how I have 3 weeks of time to take before the end of the year,,,,but never get to take off BECAUSE I CAN NEVER FIND COVERAGE for the days I want to take off.

But they don't seem to care about that!

yes, the company I get my paycheck from. It's moments like this that really makes me bitter towards my company. Not like I make mega millions, that I can afford to pay for things to better me as their employee. (if I did I would not work 2 part times jobs.)

I am starting to get burnt out and hate it!!!!

Yeah..that's pretty ridiculous! I was going to say, if you worked directly for my company, they'd pay your travel expenses. It's not cheap commuting to the city nowdays.

I am not a supporter of staying at a job you do not like...start looking...at least that will bring some optimism!!

YMCA/JCC
personal traing - Full Time (husseling, no benefits, unreliable in beginning)
Commercial - no way,,,not professional enough for me
Corporate - I am here now, no way am I going back to the city to work for the same BS, different company.

Go back to school for masters in PHYS Ed - maybe someday, when we have the money that is my dream

I hate feeling like this. I love my job and what I do, but it's BS that a company with over 300 sites nationwide, and just took over/merged with another fitness/heath management copany, yet can't pay something so trivial.
