Any night/weekend nursing/x-ray tech programs?

My fiance is really looking to change his career from Accounting to nursing or x-ray/MRI tech. We can't afford for him to leave his job to go back to school, so we've been scouring the internet looking for programs on nights or weekends. Does anyone know of any in the 5 boroughs? Any help would be appreciated. We're getting desperate! TIA!

Yes - Joe wants to switch from a job where he's making other people money to a job where he's helping people. I just wish we could find a program!

Re: Any night/weekend nursing/x-ray tech programs?

I don't know where you live.. these are in Suffolk.
Eastern Suffolk Boces
Wilson Tech adult education in Dix Hills

I also want to become a nurse.. for the same reasons as your husband. Suffolk Community Colege and I think Farmingdale University have p/t evening classes for nursing. I am leaning townard a 1 year fulltime program at Stony Brook since it will be my second bachelors it is only 1 year f/t. The p/t will take years to complete.
The above links have individual classes I was considering taking in the mrantime before I start nursing school. Like there is an EKG class for ~$300 one night a week for 4 months. iThere are also individual classes for Phlebotomy, Medical Assisiting, First Aid/CPR, etc. Not a degree though. I figure these classes may help to get a p/t job as a medical assistant while going to school.

HTH!

Julie

I don't know of any x ray programs at night you can try Nassau Community college but I'm sure its day classes because you have to do the clinical also...
I am a Nuclear Medicine Technologist and I went during the day with some of the x ray students but it was during the day at the VA Medical Center in Northport. we shared some core classes with them.

Thanks for the tips ladies. We're in the city, but we're looking into them anyway.
