How many different types of bustles are there? What do they look like?

How many different types of bustles are there? What do they look like?

I only know of two. One is called a French bustle and the other one maybe a regular one? The Fench bustle is where the bustle is under your wedding gown and a regular one it is bustled on the outside.(this give you a good pic of the train)

I had a French Bustle. Here are a couple of shots so you can see what it looks like. I'm sure your bridal salon can show you what each will look like on the dress that you choose. That's what they did for me before I chose.

I know there's a bustle that involves three points basically where the train is lifted so one it's attached at one point in the center at the top which works nicely for aline non poufy dresses.

Someone on here was talking about an Austrian or Australian bustle. I've never heard of it, but the most common are the overbustle and the french.

Does the material play into which one your should get? I usually see french bustles on thicker materials (Cloddy, what material is your gown?). Mine is organza over satin, and I'm not sure a french bustle would look right, but I love them.
