How much are you tipping your DJ?
Hello LadiesJust out of curiosity what is a reasonable TIP? And are you feeding them, or is it one or the other???
Thanks for the info.
TIA

Feeding DJ & DJ AssistantAs far as tipping, I'm doing at least 20% based on the total price.

Re: How much are you tipping your DJ?
My DJ is a personal friend of mine and the MC so I am going to tip them $150 each and the percussionist $100

I also will be paying for meals for the DJ (however many guys there are) as well as tipping them.

Re: How much are you tipping your DJ?
Don't you want to wait and see if they do a good job? I don't think tipping is automatic. I think depends whether or not someone went above and beyond. If the DJ or photographer or whoever does a really good job, then I would think another $100 would be reasonable, but I do think tips should be earned.

If things go well-a total of 200-300, plus meals.

I was thinking the same thing. Alot of these tips seem kind of high. Especially for DJs that own their own DJ company and get the full amount of your payment.
