i know this is crazy, but i haven't even THOUGHT about veils yet! please HELP!
ok, my wedding is in may and i haven't even considered what i want my veil to look like. originally i wasn't sure if i wanted one, but now i feel like i'd be missing out somehow without one.the problem is i'm CLUELESS about veils! i have no idea what to even look for - material, length, etc?
here are some pics of my dress (minus the flowers and boa, of course ). the dress in the pics is a pinkish color, but mine is ''pearl'.
what kind of veil do you think i should get, which would go with my dress?
THANKS girls.

I am personally a fan of finger tip length.. Esp with a ballgown-- it frames your face and torso and creates a beautiful look.Simple circle shape is best-- when it is down- like your head is the middle of the circle, then you flip it back-- ya know??
Fabrics- I have no idea.. I ordered my veil from my hair guy.

I have no advice as far as the veil (maybe a champagne color...not sure what 'pearl' is) but I have to say, your dress is gorgeous!!! Love it!

I would take a trip to Tri County where you can try on and look at a bunch of different veils and try them on. I am also a fan on fingertip length. I think looking at them will help a bunch!

I ordered a fingertip length circle too. When the blusher is back the second tier is elbow length. It looks quite full too. I'm sorry, I don't know the fabric either.

so... it sounds like fingertip is the length of choice. i think i would like organza as a fabric, to match my skirt overlay.ok, next dumb question... what and where is tri-county?

Your dress is gorgeous! A fingertip length veil should be just right.

EDIT: Tri-County Flea market in Levittown on Hempstead Tnpk. Thanks!
You could also go to Patchogue Floral Fantasyland off of Sunrise Hwy. They have a huge selection also.
I agree.... you're dress is beautiful... it looks very unique to me
I also have a fingertip, ivory 2-tier veil with a ribbon edge and pearls scattered throughout.

I agree, you should definitely go and look. I was so convinced I wanted cathedral length. When I tried it on, it was just too much. I'm going with finger tip as well.

Re: i know this is crazy, but i haven't even THOUGHT about veils yet! please HELP!
i like the look of a drop veil for your dress...but i saw some pictures of similar dresses with other veils...i'm not keen on the last picture with the champagne dress and white veil.ETA: I love the second pic and think a silk one from sewdeb would be so pretty...you could send her a swatch of fabric and i'm sure she'd be able to match or come close to matching the color. they way silk drapes is so very pretty and luxe.

Gorgeous dress.I'm getting married June 10th and I haven't thought about mine either. I might go without~to the dismay of FMIL and others but my fiance doesn't care so... I might skip it!

Re: i know this is crazy, but i haven't even THOUGHT about veils yet! please HELP!
I would say fingertip or elbow length. You don't want to cover up too much of the beautiful back of that dress. you will want to go with an ivory color (I think) veil. I would get satin edged with a circle cut maybe with some tiers. But something simpleTry Barrons in Tri county. They measure you and make a veil specifically for you with whatever you want on it.
