Natural Cold Remedies--NO MEDICINE? I need recommendations.

I cant take cold medicine b/c for

1--I've tried too many and they dont work for me

2--they make my heart racey which I hate that feeling

I've been taking Airborne for 2 days and its letting me down......

Besides food and lots of liquid anyone else have their own natural remedies to rid a nasty cold.......?

Did you try coriciden (sp?)? They make special ones that don't affect your heart--my mom is on heart medication and the dr. told her to take that.

Sleep - and lots of it! Always works to beat a cold out of me. And with a recent cold, I fell in love with the healing ways of Ricola drops.

How about those zinc lozenges? I think they're called 'Coldeez.' They've worked for me in the past...

Coldeeze is good, also Zicam nasal swabs...they are about $8, you can find them in any drug store or supermarket.

Drink Plenty of water, and liquids and chicken soup, and vicks around your nose to clear up a stuffy nose. Feel better.

I heard that Zicam works really well. My girlfriend always used to recommend drinking coke and ginger (real ginger in th coke). She swore by it. I hope you feel better. Here are some hugs

Thanks girls for all the tips.......I totally forgot about Olive Leaf--but of course I dont have any now, I will have to pick some up on my next venture to Vitamin Shoppe!

For now it looks like lots of sleep and some grapefruit-----I'm so freakin hungry when I have a cold......whats that all about? I can eat every 1/2 hour and then Im hungry again.

Anyone get like that?

A nebulizer treatment with colloidal silver or just some colloidal silver under the tongue, if you don't have a neb.
