Whose name goes first in the ceremony?
Hi m'ladies.I know on all the wedding stuff my name goes first. But, what about during the ceremony when the officiant refers to both of us? She kept saying 'Nick and Ryanna' and I didn't know if I should go first here too, or if I am just obsessing WAY too much about every detail.
Does it matter? I am happy to 'allow' him to go first on this one - but just thought I'd run it by you all first.

Re: Whose name goes first in the ceremony?
Definelty not a stupid question. I think in this case it sounds better if his name is first. Although I not sure what the etiquette is or even if it exists for this, but I think it is what you prefer and like to hear. I just think Nick and Ryanna flows nicely.

I would trust that the officiant knows best. Or, if you really are unhappy with it, speak to her - I'm sure she'll be receptive to your concerns.

Re: Whose name goes first in the ceremony?
I'm sure you can ask her about it but I'm thinking it's old school where they always put the man's name first. So it's just carried through over time. Just like they first ask him to repeat the vows before you. Men first in the church.

Thanks ladies - I'm gonna keep it as is. I'm reaching that point where I am obsessing about things...I know you all understand.
