NWR: Quake triggers tsunami warning
A tsunami warning was issued for New Zealand and Fiji Wednesday after an 8.0 earthquake struck near the island nation of Tonga.
The U.S. Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued the alert, adding that it was not sure a tsunami had been generated by the large quake.

I know. Thank goodness this time there is a warning going out - I pray that people will take it seriously and evacuate. My coworkers best friend is in Fiji this week on his honeymoon.

The Tsunami was only 2 feet and they removed the warning. Yay  AOL Update

That's great that it wasn't another horrible disaster. But the earthquake hit in the middle of the night, even if they warned them, who would be awake to hear it? A scary thought.
I'm glad the threat has passed. The world doesn't need another disaster.
