Ques. For Girls Not on Birth Control...I took the test

What is the latest you have ever been w/ out being pregnant? I am 12 days today and that is the longest I have ever been late...i have been 5-6 days before. I am just so scared because this would change SO much and I am afraid to even tell FH. We always have protected sex so I am hoping that maybe i am just thinking about it too much and it is delaying it...could that be..sorry if this is TMI I just feel alone since I have not told anyone yet.

stress can totally delay it! Are you just off the pill?? I run on a 34-37 day schedule.

First I want to give you

The latest I have ever been is 15 days. I get irregular if I am very stressed, if I change my diet, or if I change my exercise routine. I also get irregular if I am on a flight that lasts more than 2 hours. (I don't know why, maybe from the stress...it freaks me out too.)

yes this happened to me I was late. Like almost 3 weeks late. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative and like 2 days later i got AF I was worrying about it to much.

I once went 6 months without my period and another time it was 5 months. Both were very stressful times in my life so I guess anything is possible.

Thank you for the hugs..the help SO much. I am not nor have I ever been on the pill, I jut was too afraid of side effects. I know I should just take the test and know for sure, but I am hoping it will just come. I gave myself till Sunday.

Mine has been screwy since I stopped the pill. Are you using condoms? Was there an accident, why are you worried? If you used condoms then you shouldn't worry.

Is AF usually ever late? I just went through something similar a few weeks ago. I would take a P test if I were you. It didn't come down to that for me because my AF came on time, even early. the lastest my AF has been from stress is 1 week, but I'm usually like clockworks, so it depends on how your cycle normally is and I gues show much stress you're under. Since AF i already late, a p test will be accurate by now. I know that's even more nerve wracking than waiting, but the sooner you know, the better.

Yes, we used condoms...but they are not 100% and now that I am so late I am worried. Yes I have been late by 5-6 days before but never this long. I want to take the test and know i have to but am afraid that it will be positive, not knowing for sure gives me hope that AF may come as strange as that may sound.

I think you should take a test, the longer you wait the less time you have to make informed decisions if it turns +.

I also post on a trying to concieve board and know first hand from testing every month for the last year and a half. Sometimes taking a HPT is just the trigger you need for it to start.

Thank you all so much for responding. It helps so much. Maybe I will take a test tonight...i have dinner plans with my very happy to be pregnant friend. Not that I would not be happy, it would change everything and disappoint so many.

I would take a test. It may ease your mind and that alone can bring on AF. When you start stressing about it it delays it even more.

I too have gone months with out it. Stressful times can delay it... If you are always using protection then I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. If you are that worried get a test so you know for sure.

We always use condoms. The latest Ive ever been was like 7-10 days I think. It could just be stress, that can keep it from coming. Just so you can stop worrying go to the store and pick up a test and see.

Thank you all I took 2 tests over the weekend and thank goodness they were both negative. I still have not gotten it, but my mind is at ease now knowing I am not pregnant. Thanks everyone all for your hugs and responses, i truly appreciate you all.

K i'm totally not on the pill...rely on durex...the longest I've ever been late is one month....finally bought the test, went back to work to take it....and realized wow i just got my period...so returned the test for a set of pads! lol
