how much to tip?
how much are you supposed to tip everyone? this is what i figured tell me what you think. matre'd $500 bridal asst $300 band-$ 50 each photographer-$50 each officiant-$50 limos-$25 each did i miss anyone?

Depends...
we do not want a "tip jar" on the bar so we are going to tip the bartender ourselves
we are also tipping the valets because we dont want our guests to tip them
ummm, i cant think of any others that werent mentioned...
i know as a former catering waitress sometimes i would get a tip from the father of the bride- but it only happened on occasion and i dont think it is necessary

we do not want a "tip jar" on the bar so we are going to tip the bartender ourselves
we are also tipping the valets because we dont want our guests to tip them
ummm, i cant think of any others that werent mentioned...
i know as a former catering waitress sometimes i would get a tip from the father of the bride- but it only happened on occasion and i dont think it is necessary
I would make sure that there is a sign saying that gratutities have been provided because some people will tip regardless

This is my list...
1) Maitre 'd - $300 2) Bridal Attendant - $50 3) Bartenders - $50 each (x2 = $100) 4) Limos - $50 each (x2 = $100) 5) MC - $100 6) DJ - $50 7) Percussionist - $50 8) Video - $50 9) Photo - $50
Total = $850
Depending on service day of we may tip mre or less...our total tip budget is $1000

Thats a good point...how would i do that with the valets???
If they tip bartender i guess it is fine- but i just dont like when there is a jar there with bills hanging out of it...asking for $$$ JMO

This is who we tipped and how much: Matre'd - $525 ($3 pp) Hostess - $75 MC -$100 DJ - $50 Photographer-$100 each Videographer - $100 Limo Drivers - $50 Flower Deliver Guy - $45 Makeup Artist - $30 Hairstylist - $20
Almost all my vendors were the owners of the business but I tipped them anyway.

I think your bridal assistant tip is a bit insane!!! I tipped ours $50.
Maitre d' $400 Photographers: $75 each Photographer's assistant: $30 DJ: $50 MC: $75 Bartenders: $100 to split Transportation: $20 each Flower Delivery: $20
Didn't tip:
Officiant (paid for transportation back and forth, amounted to $130 so I felt that, on top of the $500, was enough) Harpist: own business Makeup: own business Hair: own business

we are going to do the same and also tip the Bathroom attendants so our guests wont have to.

Just a note about the Bridal attendant - my cousin is one and she said that she would consider a good tip to be $100 or over. She was always really happy when she made at least $100 especially when she had a Bridezilla!

1) Maitre 'd - $500 2) Bridal Attendant - $350 3) Bartenders - $50 each (and I know so many of my guests tipped them themselves, so they made out really well!) 4) Limos - $100 ($50 for the earlier guy, $50 for the guy who picked us up at the end of the night) 5) MC - $50 6) DJ - $50 8) Video - $50 9) Photo - $50 10) Photo assistant - $50 11)make-up chick - $50 12)hair chick - $50
I totally forgot to tip the flower delivery guy, but I was in a skimpy little top, getting my airbrush make-up done, and I had no way to get to my money (in a different room in the hotel), so he got nothing. I still feel bad about that.
