Finally my april 30 review!!

everytime i go write this, my computer shuts down and i lose my info. so annoying. but here goes:

my wedding was so beautiful and everything i dreamed it would be. although i had one emotional breakdown due to the pouring rain on my day i got over it. my friend told me a wet knot is harder to untie! i like that saying.

Jennifer( the hair genie): she arrived so early around 530am. did an amazing job on my girls my mom and my flower girl and of course me! she is sweet and nice and kept everyone calm!! my hair came out a little at the end of the night but that is partly due to the fact that my veil fell out and i just pushed it in anywhere and probably messed it up! highly recommend her. she's awesome.

Oksana-- awesome as well. at first it was just me, my mom and one bridesmaid, but when everyone saw how georgeous she made us look, everyone started wanted her to do their makeup! she is so nice and sweet and did a great job. my makeup stayed all day. i never thought i would like fake eyelashes, but they looked great! highly recommend!!

Bridal Suite of Huntington-- i saw my dress and didn't even look at the price tag, that's how much i loved it. thank god it wasn't expensive. the ladies there are very nice and helpful. effie did a great job on my alterations. highly recommend

burtons -- my girls dresses looked great and i got no complaints about their alterations. they wore after six number 1615 i think. cute lavender tea length dress. i wanted to wear one. highly recommend

Get in Tune DJ-- Glen is so funny and down to earth and nice and is so great at what he does! he even sounds like a dj on my answering machine. he did a great job and got an afternoon wedding rockin!! played songs that were fun and even though i gave him a two page song list, he tried to accomodate and play alot of them! great prices. we saw him at two other weddings, we loved his personality. we knew we were going to use him. highly highly recommend!

T & T video--- I already picked up my video proof and cried and laughed all over again! my video is so great. Hal is such nice and funny guy. made us all comfortable. my mom even asked me at the end of night if the video guy every showed up at the reception. couldn't even tell he was there. he got great shots, emotional ones that we'll never forget. great prices too! highly highly recommend!!

Invites-- Nicole from creative party works. she was very nice and local ( she was only ten minutes from my house). i loved my invites. i went through like 7 proofs before there were done right. i had carlson craft ones and i wasn't told that with each proof i would get charged like 15 dollars!! after the first one she told me, but that one was wrong and then the next and the next! got lots of compliments on them though. she might of lost a little patience with me when i couldn't understand the way to email my address list for the caligrapher. it was confusing to me, and she coudn't understand why i couldn't get it, but whatever. they came out beautiful!! i also ordered my favors from her. the first batch were horrible. they were the crome ones. don't get those. they chip and don't look good. we then got the silver plated ones. so cute. we filled them with hershey kisses and wrapped them in lavender tulle then attached a little card that read "a scoopful of love, sprinkled with kisses, many thanks to you from the new mr. and mrs." everyone loved them and the scoops work great!!

La Productions-- Laura is so talented at what she does. she made me the cry packs, rose petal cones, bp and parent cards, and place cards with the caligraphy( although they were a pain to put together). she is so nice and sweet and does a great job. well worth the money! i want her to plan all my parties!!

Patken Photo-- Vinny was our photographer and he made us very comfortable. he is very nice, listened to all my suggestions of shots and even organized my guests after the ceremony to make things go quicker since we were on a time schedule. i didn't have tons of time like some brides do for taking pics, and he did a great job and getting them all in. he knew exactly what he was doing. i just picked up my proofs yesterday and i love them. although i am not 100% thrilled with them. i think i had to much of high expectations of my pics that i thought i would love each of them. it's actually hard for me to find a thank you pic. due to the rain, we were inside our reception room taking some shots and the background is of table and chairs. looks good, but not great. that's my opinion. of course my husband loves it. there isn't alot of pics of just us looking at the camera which i wished i opened my mouth about. you don't think that day at all. i should of looked around and saw that i didn't like that background or said i wanted a really great thank you pose, but i didn't. don't get me wrong, i love my pics. he took some amazing shots. very romantic ones. but there's just some that i wished looked different. there is only one shot of me and girls at the house. and two of us all at the reception. i wanted more fun ones. i guess it was partly due to the rain and partly due to timing and partly due to me not opening my mouth, but like i said before you don't think on that day at all!! anyway, vinny still did a great job and i still highly recommend them and him. but just don't be afraid to say no and look around as to what your background is. he took over 400 shots too!!

Crest Hollow-- I changed banquet managers twice which was annoying. my first one never called me back and the second left on a leave. my third manager was barbara who was great. when we arrived for the cocktail hour there was a traffic jam. even our limo driver said this never has happened. seems as though there were two cocktail hours occuring at the same time. the other party was upstairs and there were 700 people there!! i believe it was an indian wedding. so, all the cars were just lined up and because of the rain they were all waiting for the underhang. i never saw another bride until the very end when we were leaving. she was taking pics outside and since i never got out there, i asked if i could go to and at first they said no, but then said yes, if i waited till she was done. our matre d and bridal attendent were at our side every second asking if we needed anything. the food was excellent, the cocktail hour huge. still getting remarks about that. they didn't though wrap up my top piece of my cake good enough. you know the one you eat at your one year anniversary. it was placed in a bakery box and placed with the rest of my wedding stuff and i didn't find it until after i got back from my honeymoon. it's in my freezer, but probably gross. overall, despite the annoyances, we still enjoyed ourselves and the emerald room looked great! it is very modern looking now. we did feel a little rushed when our wedding was over. since we were in the afternoon, there was probably another wedding after ours. i was still saying goodbyes when they were putting tables and away.

Flower Michele Florist-- Highly highly highly times a million recommend. awesome!! i had tears in my eyes when i saw my flowers and my girls and my centerpieces. John does a great job at what he does and he is so nice to work with. i told him i wanted to walk in and see a lavender fairytale with candles and lots of rose petals and he delivered even with a great deal! use him. you won't be disappointed.

Ultimate Class Limo-- arrived early and the cars were clean and beautiful. the rolls was so elegent! i don't remember all the drivers, but i know one was janice and she was very nice and was very helpful. our rolls driver was very nice too, he had some very unique ways of getting me out of my house and into the limo without getting wet!

Barrons for veil and tiara-- loved loved my tiara and veil . they were very helpful and patient. good prices too. they had so many tiaras i think i must of tried on like 30!!

Aruba--- Beautiful hot and wonderful. we stayed 9 days and loved everyday there. we stayed at the marriott and stellaris casino. ask for a high floor and overlooking the pool and ocean. we also rented a jeep which was very fun and convienent. if you have any questions, please email me at michndrew1@yahoo.com.

Michele, you made such a beautiful bride! I love the picture of you and your dad dancing! Hope you are settling into married life...by the way, Jackie and I have been playing phone tag but I did hear through the grapevine ... I am so happy for her!!!!!

Where did you stay in Aruba? FH and I went there a couple years ago, and we loved it (the Marriott).
