Went to a wedding yesterday at CLM w/ Pics
I thought I'd give a review of my experience at CLM.
Overall it was nice. FH was a groomsman so we had great service. FH said the MD was friendly and extrememly helpful.
The ceremony was outside and absolutely beautiful. There was a small breeze and the shade from the building kept everyone comfortable. They took the water theme and ran with it. The place cards were "message in a bottle". There was sand and small sheels in a small bottle with a strip of paper with our names and table number on it. Really Cute! They had a steel drum band play for the CH. They also had conk-shells as the table-number holders and they had a sign that said instead of tapping the glass to get them to kiss, you had to blow the shell. It was very funny to hear people tying it all night long. Only a few people at my table were able to do it.
The bride and groom did the most beautiful thing for the first dance that I am definately stealing - when they started dancing they had the bridal party place candles around them on the floor. The effect was gorgeous and so romantic.

The only true complaint we had was that the air-conditioner was broken! Something like this is out of their and your control but it was brutal. I had my hair blown straight but the humidity coupled with no air-conditioner made it curl up and frizz by the time dinner started. CLM did good by the bride and groom by giving them a chocolate fountain, paying for the DJ (FH's company) to stay an extra 1/2hour and paying for their limo ride to the hotel.
The people were great and the view is spectacular. Best of luck to all CLM brides!

How big was the candle circle?
They placed the candles on the dance floor in a big enough circle that they didn't even come close to touching them. The only dangerous part was when the photographer kicked one of them.

I had my wedding at CLM a few days before them and I dont know if the A\C was broken.. It was working for us, but it wasnt cold enough.
I like the candle idea, but knowing me and my family it would definately be kicked over. I was afraid to go near my candles by my cake because of my dress, veil etc.
I kinda wish I had done the steel drum band, but it was so hot we were all inside in the a/c listening to the rat pack

Thanks for the reveiw I am getting married there in like 2 weeks  I hope the A/C is working
I am going to have to check on that with BM when I drop off the favors and everything in another week or so.
