Etiquette for MOB, MOG (and even SMOG) dresses?
FH's mother and stepmother have both asked me if there is a certain color I want them to wear for the wedding. Has anyone ever heard of this before? I told them no, they should wear whatever they'd like! It's not like they'll clash with my BMs, who are wearing black with a pink ribbon. But shouldn't they just wear a color they'd look good in?

It is customary that the MOB get to choose the color of her gown first. They may have been asking that?

Ha if this is the case, then this is just another part of my wedding that breaks tradition!!!
Typically the MOB picks her dress first, and then the MOG is supposed to pick a dress in the same color. BUT most people don't do this anymore. I would say as long as the color is not in the white family, and as long as it is not the color of the BM dresses, they should be fine.

She just asked if there was a certain color I wanted her to wear. I think maybe in her circle, the brides have done that at the weddings she's been to. She's going away at the end of the month and plans to go shopping when she's away. My mom has no clue what she even wants to wear yet!
