He rolled over on the baby!
I normally don't keep my 3 month old son with us in the bed, but if I do happen to keep him in bed for part of the night, I'll sleep with him in my pregnancy pillow on my side of the bed.
Well, last night I just put him in the bed between my FH and me with my arm around him. My FH sleeps like a log and rolled over on him. Luckly, my son started crying and wasn't hurt. I was so pissed, not just at my FH, but also at myself for putting my son in bed with us were he could get hurt.
Now, though, I'm afriad to let our 4 year old son sleep with us too. He just got a new big boy bed and hates it and since he shares a room, his brother's crying wakes him up at night, so most nights he crawls into our bed to sleep and we've never had a problem before. However, after last night I'm not so sure that's a good idea anymore.
If you have kids, do you let them sleep in your bed? Or if you don't have kids, would you let them sleep in your bed?

Re: He rolled over on the baby!
I let my son sleep in my bed until he was 2, but only on my side of the bed (me in the middle) because I am not a deep sleeper. They also sell little cosleepers you can put right next to your bed, or in your bed.

I'm glad your little boy is okay!
To answer your question, no I don't let our son sleep in our bed.

Re: He rolled over on the baby!
Your husband won't crush your 4 year old, so I wouldn't worry too much about letting him sleep with you.
A better alternative to the sharing a room/crying problem would be a co-sleeper. It attaches to your bed and your infant will be close by you. This will give your older son better sleep and get him out of the habit of sleeping with mom & dad. And, you'll be closer to your little one, he'll cry less b/c you'll be there to answer his needs, and you won't have to worry about dad smothering him!
Good luck!

OMG. Maybe you should have a small crib by your bed side so your baby can be close to you but not in your bed.

Re: He rolled over on the baby!
Myself and my 3 sisters were all raised in a "family bed" Nobody ever got hurt or crushed at night. I really think it is the best thing. My sisters and I are still so close and often will sleep in the same bed. I am sure your son will be perfectly safe.
