I am an April bride!

We booked our church, hall, photo...
got the GM tuxes...

Got tins for favors....

my dress is in the middle of the alteration phase...

We need to do flowers, limos, BP dresses, Honeymoon

I think thats it!
what else do we need!?

We're getting married on April 27, 2007 a friday evening extravaganza. lol
We've booked our church, hall, photographer, videographer, limo, and harpist. I have my dress, shoes, veil, comb, garter, guestbook, pen, toasting flutes, favors, card box, baskets etc. I ordered the invites recently (the company keeps raising the price) and they should be here maybe at the end of May or so.

I am about to take a break from planning (studying for the NY and NJ bar exams) but when I start planning again in August, I plan to book my makeup artist and get the bridesmaid dressed. We've decided on Hawaii for the HM, I really wanted Tahiti but the wedding is expensive as it is, so we need something more cost effective!

dress, shoes, veil, trials (m/u & hair booked)
invites
BM dresses somewhat sorted out
HM figured out
toasting flutes
pre-cana done

next on the list is ordering BM dresses & booking the HM and limo...

I wanted to get all of the big things out of the way since I'm going for my masters, teaching, and working a PT job.. Good planning on my part, its been helpful so far!

We haven't done those yet!

The band is semi-finished as FH's parents are throwing it in and we are pretty sure we are going with that specific band...

WOW everyone is doing so well!!!

I too am taking the NY bar exam so soon I take a break...

I wanted to have it all done before then, but that won't happen, also because I wont have a FT salary until September....

yeah we have our DJ too. We've all done so much planning. I kind of wish I had booked a makeup artist already though.

Yeah for April 07 !!!

I have nothing left.. well nothing I can do till March 07..
I hate surprises and over girlie things so im planning my own ungirlie showers (one nj one ny).. (gasp! no bow hat!!) haha so thats next year... OOT bags next year.. menus next year..
thats about it! Can't get my dress altered till next year..
have the invites, rings.. I feel like theres really nothing left now haha...

I'm more then willing to help anyone though!!!

yeaa.. I am so happy there is a thread for us!!

So far.. I have a Church, a Hall, a DJ, and Flowers..

We are going to book Limo's and Photo/Video this summer.. and the honeymoon probably in Sept/October..

My STD's aren't going out til about November.. and Invites we will be doing thru FH's Uncle who is a Printer!!

Next on the list is Limos. I havent' booked a honeymoon yet, how soon should I be doing this? I too will be taking a break to study for the NY bar. I'm so nervous about it. This weather also has me worried. Some weekends its freezing cold and others its perfect weather.

For my flowers I chose Lilac and Peony. I can't wait to see the combination. I've been looking all over the internet for it but the closest I've come across are lilac and roses.

Oh and for my church I wanted forsynthia. I see them around now but I think that they are going to be gone quickly. Many of them have already turned into leaves so I may choose something different for my church. Does anyone know if cherry blossoms bloom by the third week of April?

OH i picked april b/c its my fav month.. my bday month, the month we met... hmmm its right before "peak" season.. we are 2 days before may with may weather.. april prices!

We chose April because we wanted a Spring wedding but May has too many events (mom's birthday, mother's day, graduations) so we picked the next best month, which is April. Also our 9 year anniversary is 2/17/07 but neither of us wanted a winter wedding since I love Spring and we're taking outdoor picture.

For flowers I am thinking hydrangeas and many lavender roses. My bouquet is mostly lavender roses but with other purple flowers. We may also have gerber daisies for the BM bouquets.

i spoke to a TA and she said not to book HM yet, to wait, because they are JUST putting out the april 07 prices and they are high, she said if you wait, the prices drop...and i know what you mean about the weather, i am very very worried too!

one of our reasons was urs too!2 days before may with may weather, for april prices!...DATE TWIN!!!!we hafta start praying for the good weather now!

This is almost the same for us!

We wanted May but everything seemed booked at the RH so we went with April and hopefully the weather will be nice.

We want to do dydrangeas and lavendar roses!

I'm booking the videographer this week.
And will be going to the Florist in the next couple of weeks.

Did you guys order your favors yet? If so did you pay extra for them to wrap or will you do it yourself to save some $$?? I was thinking of having my BM's come over one night and everyone helping wrap.
