Meeting with florist - need help
I'm going to meet with a florist today, and I feel so unprepared. It's our friend's aunt, and she said that we just need to go in and tell her what we want. But I'm not completely sure what I want. I mean I know how many bouquets I need, bouttinieres (not spelled right I'm sure), and the colors I want. As for centerpieces, I'm not sure how many I need, but I know I want low ones. Basically, I need help with knowing what I need to tell them today and what other things I need from them. I know there have been millions of postings on here on this subject, but I'm too lazy to search, haha. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Re: Meeting with florist - need help
My meeting with my florist went very smoothly. I knew I wanted all red roses for my bouquet. I told him I wasn't sure about the BMs though. They are wearing red and then he made suggestions. Then I had no clue about centerpieces and he helped me with that too. So it might not be as bad as you are thinking!

Re: Meeting with florist - need help
You'll be fine. Seriously. .. you know the colors and should have a GENERAL idea of how many CPs. . .most florists know that number will most likely change by a few CPs. They'll be able to help and give ideas. If you know the shape of your tables, that will help too with the CPs.
Just be up front about your budget and you'll be good!

maybe she'll be able to give you ideas since you already know how many you'll need of what and that you want low centerpieces...just tell her your colors/theme and i'm sure she'll be able to tell you what's in season and what would look good...or tell us and maybe we can come up with some ideas for you!

Just take some pics along with you of ideas you like, and then you and the florist can expand upon that. That's pretty much what I did and the end selections were amazing!

Well I'm going for a fall theme. So for colors for flowers I'm thinking red, orange, yellow, maybe some purple thrown in (I need some sort of pink or purple somehow in my wedding, haha). My BM dresses are going to be chocolate brown with a latte sash.
I had saved some pictures on my computer of bouquets and centerpieces that I've found when on this website or just searching around on others. I just printed them out to bring with me, which will hopefully help give ideas.
I'm just not sure about flower pieces for the church and what types of flowers for the flower girls and what types of flowers I want!!!! And then I think some people are supposed to get corsages and stuff, so I'm thinking maybe I should've made a list of stuff like that. But like everyone said, hopefully if we tell them our budget, and I show pics, maybe she'll show me what I can get and what they can do.
Thanks for the advice everyone! It definitely helps!!!

Well, I would DEFINITELY make up a list before I go of all the corsages, bouts, bouquets, etc. You have readers, grandparents, the bridal party, parents - you don't want to forget anyone@

Re: Meeting with florist - need help
as far as how many you need, you wont know 100% right now bc who knows how many will RSVP. What our florist did was ask for our minimum and we went by that, so after our rsvp we give them a number of how many tables we'll have and then they change it.
Tell them your colors and your vision and look at what they suggest. Also tell them your budget which will be easier for them to figure out what to show you.
