My FH is FDNY. He came to talk to the first grade classes about fire safety for our Community Helpers Week. I was the last group of the day. He asked the children "How many of you would like to see your teacher wear the fire helmet?" Of course you know they raised their hands. Then he started to show different fire safety tools. First he showed a smoke detector. Then he went inside his jacket pocket and pulled out a red box. He was waving that in the air asking what that was. Once one child stated it's a box, he got down on one knee and proposed. I was in such shock. All you hear is my friend screaming in the background. I was so speechless and surprised =) It was the best moment of my life..
