name change
well i have been married for over a year and keep putting off changing my name.i know the first step is the social security office. i live in queens and there is one right near me. i am wondering, if i go in the morning, do i get the new ss card immediately so i can head over to DMV or does it get mailed to me (meaning i have to wait a few days before i can go to DMV)?

I did my name change in Nassau - went to SS first and got the new card right away and took it right over to DMV. My new license came in about 2 weeks.
