I just got married at Gurney's last weekend on Saturday April 7, 2018. Prior to the wedding, I had spent a lot of time at the resort, and then used all the facilities for the wedding (rehearsal dinner at Scarpetta Beach, Gurney's for the Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Reception and After Party, and then Scarpetta Beach again for a private brunch. I cannot recommend this venue enough — it's so luxurious and comfortable I wish I could live here! If you're looking for comments regarding the accommodations: they're absolutely gorgeous year round. I have visited in May, November, February, March and April, staying several nights in April in a Junior Ocean View Suite (Room 301). The room was spacious and had an enormous wrap around terrace looking out at the Atlantic. You can smell the sea from the deck. Unfortunately, we didn't get too lucky with the weather this April, but we still enjoyed taking brief sessions on the deck to absorb the beauty. I look forward to returning in the summer. Additionally, our bed was large and comfortable and there was enough room to feel like there were separate spaces in one room. Additionally, this room has gorgeous natural light and we did our first look on the balcony. The amenities of the hotel are incomparable to any of the other resorts in Montauk. They have an outdoor fire pit that even in February was pleasant to sit next to, sipping an Old Fashioned or a glass of Prosecco from the all star bar. The gym looks out onto the ocean, as well, making for a very serene work out space. Every moment of the resort feels thoughtfully considered and very unique to the other spots around the hotel. This is especially effective at a wedding, where we utilized the Scarpetta Bar, The East Deck, The Regency Club, and the Great Hall, and then back to the Regency Club for the after party. I think this works well for a wedding as each moment had it's own feeling and created a seamless and enchanted flow the day of the event. The spa is phenomenal! The location is also airy with large windows overlooking the ocean. The team at the spa is just as organized as the wedding staff – Allison was great at heralding all the details regarding my wedding appointments and Divina and Christina were masterful artists very accomplished at styling hair and make up. On my wedding day, I felt like a princess and they are very much responsible for that!! I was amazed and thankful that Divina took care of me on her birthday, which happened to be my rehearsal dinner, and then also on our wedding. If you ever want to feel glamorous and done-up, I would highly recommend their services. In terms of the wedding staff: Ginny, Danielle, and the banquet Captain, Frantz were so receptive and helpful every step of the way. If you're planning a wedding or an event here, you're in good hands. The communication was always prompt and informative. I planned my own wedding, and was very grateful to have such a talented and coherent team at Gurney's

We went there for a family wedding. A spring wedding that was set to be outside with the views of the bay and shores. Well a tremendous fog rolled in. The staff a Gurney’s didn’t miss a beat. The indoor version was beautiful. Not a detail was missed. It was as if the happy couple requested an inside event. It was beautiful. Everything was delicious. The bartenders were outstanding. The main room was a tent. Again, one would think this “tent” was a ballroom made to appear as a tent. The weather had zero effect on this special day. My second Gurney’s (I have stayed in Newport) and I am so impressed by everything at these properties. Thanks.

My wedding at Gurney’s was actually a dream come true! Paul and I had our wedding reception at Gurney’s on Sat, April 21, 2018 and it was perfect! I had to pinch myself a few times during the weekend and I cannot recommend this venue enough – it’s beyond beautiful and they do everything just right. From start to finish, Michael Nenner, Frantz and the entire team of conference and banquet managers were incredible. Danielle was super sweet and kept us organized with all the details prior to the wedding day. Kyle greeted our family and friends at the front desk with a huge smile and was extremely accommodating. Ginny was the MVP of the whole weekend. She’s the bridal and catering manager that handles everything for the bride day of, but she did so much more than her job description. She went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, so that I could enjoy my day. I don’t know what I would have done without her! She started with me and the bridesmaids at 7am and ended long after 10pm by hanging my veil on the headboard and placing flower petals in the shape of a heart on our bed. To future brides out there - a knowledgeable and experienced staff is an extremely valuable aspect of picking a venue that you might not realize at the time. Everything was executed perfectly and my parents, sister, husband, etc. were able to enjoy the weekend instead of stressing about anything going wrong! Our family and friends loved the wedding, but I think they loved spending the weekend at Gurney’s even more! Even in April there is so much to do, they walked on the beach, they went to the spa, and even just enjoyed spending time outside on the gorgeous decks – either outside their rooms or by the fire pit. And they all commented on how the service was impeccable. Huge thanks to Gurney’s for hosting my dream wedding in Montauk!

This is a slice of heaven on Long Island! Beautiful water views of rolling waves seen from most points within the restaurants, lobby, common areas. The new-ish oceanfront rooms are lovely. Relaxing by the firepit on the porch was perfect during the cold spell in April. If you want to enjoy this upscale retreat but can't afford the summer prices, definitely come during early spring for their spa packages. For those who have trouble with steps, know there are lots of them, as the resort is built into the bluff. The elevator is not convenient but overall it's worth it & as a plus you get some real time "stairmaster" exercise. The spa will be overhauled, for it is a bit dated, construction due to start this winter. For custom massage, definitely ask for Gayle, she is wonderful. Loved the rose aromatherapy treatment, the rose geranium fragrance was pure and delightful. Make sure to take a dip in the heated jetted tub followed by the indoor cool seawater pool. End your stay with an ocean view pedicure with the fab massage chair, that's a perfect finale!

Fabulous place! The location could not be more perfect. The oceanfront room was amazing. Get the corner with a wrap around balcony. It was incredible! Scarpetta Beach Restaurant was a top notch experience with wonderful service and food. Worth the price!
