    Our wedding was amazing thanks to the wonderful staff at The Watermill! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and the rooms were beautiful! Thank you for going above and beyond! Everything was perfect!

    My Wedding was July 31, 2016, everything and I mean everything was PERFECT! My Husband and I had originally planned a destination wedding and had to cancel our plans in April 2016 with little time left to throw together our 200+ wedding the Watermill helped us with everything and made it so easy. As soon as we went to the venue we felt at home. Originally planning to get married outside, the day of wedding it was raining and extremely hot the staff went above and beyond to make our wedding in the chapel truly beautiful. Our guests still rave about our cocktail hour and dinner! It feels so good to have had all of our guest thoroughly enjoy the food and the service they received. Our bridal attendant Katelyn and Maitre D were phenomenal and made sure we always had what we needed. I really cannot say enough good things about the staff and the venue! Pricing was reasonable and service was outstanding! My only complaint is that i wish I got married two months later to enjoy the full benefit of their gorgeous renovations! We will be planning all of our future events here!

    We had our ceremony & reception at The Watermill. The ceremony and cocktail hour were outside in the garden. The ceremony was beautiful and people could not stop raving about the food at the cocktail hour. The Watermill treated the bride and groom exceptionally well, from the time we arrived until the time we left. They made sure to keep the bride and groom in separate areas at their request not to see each other before the ceremony. We took pictures during the cocktail hour, but they gave us alone time in the bridal suite for a few minutes immediately following the ceremony. They brought us every single item from the cocktail hour on a large platter to the bridal suite. We booked within the year, so we had the great price of $85 per person. We had already intended to spend $100, so we opted for the Viennese hour at $15 more pp. It was amazing. Everyone loved it. They brought us again every single item from the viennese hour on a platter to our table. They let us take home all the extra cakes and desserts afterward too which was great! Everything was so perfectly organized and ran so smoothly. They treated us so well. We had some difficulty with communicating with them when we had questions. It just took a few days to hear back from them. But other then that, we had an amazing experience. All of our guests were extremely pleased. The food was delicious. The staff was courteous. No complaints. :)

    Had our wedding there this summer. Renovations are beautiful and our bridal assistant Kaitlyn was amazing. Had the best night and was on cloud nine until a phone call the next morning. Turns out one of THEIR EMPLOYEES STOLE OUR WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHERS EQUIPMENT WHICH INCLUDED OUR WEDDING FOOTAGE!!!! Spent half of our honeymoon dealing with this and thankfully because of my husbands actions and quick thinking of the Suffolk County 4th precinct we were able to figure out what happened and their wonderful employee eventually returned the stolen case with our video. YOU WOULD THINK WATERMILL WOULD HAVE CALLED US but they didn't. We had to track them down to discuss this and was barely told "sorry." I'm still waiting to hear from the owner as this was extremely unacceptable. No one should have to deal with this the day after their wedding. I'm truly mortified as we had to reach out to our guests during this whole thing to see if they had seen the missing equipment. This is what our 200+ friends and family will think of when they hear WATERMILL. Again action on their end was minimal and disgraceful. Take responsibility for the people you hire.

    We recently had our wedding at the Watermill--the first since the renovation was 100% complete. All I can say is "wow!" The renovations are gorgeous. From the flowers to the gazebo to the iconic watermill, everything felt upscale and natural for the garden ceremony. The indoor reception room was also lovely--they were able to tweak the lights perfectly to match the Tiffany blue centerpieces. The dance floor is huge. HUGE. Plenty of room for everyone to have a good time (and for the bride and groom to put those ballroom classes to good use)! Planning from Texas, I wasn't able to visit in person for the usual meetings prior to the ceremony. Eric was great about communicating via phone/e-mail to make sure that we were all on the same page. The staff were very attentive throughout the wedding. They made sure that we got to eat/drink and helped me to locate my bridesmaids when I needed to change into my reception dresses. Even with no wedding rehearsal, everyone knew exactly where they were supposed to be thanks to the Captain that day. My husband says that he felt like a celebrity because they took such good care of us. As for the food...tell your guests to come with an empty stomach. Seriously. Guests tell me that it's the best wedding food that they've ever had, and this comes from well traveled foodies. The bacon bar was a hit, and the wedding cake was divine. One frosting flower did fall off, but that's about the only thing that went "wrong" all day. If you're looking at Long Island venues, I strongly recommend the recently renovated Watermill Caterers. We had a fantastic experience, as did our family and friends.
