Advice on choosing vendors
To everyone struggling to find the right photographer or any vendor: I think one of the most important reasons for choosing a vendor to work with is personality and comfort level and a kind of blending of Spirits. Besides the usual reasons of quality and price, etc., I think I've had the best personal experiences when I've simply gone with people that I enjoy working with and trusting that everything will work out. I've seen a lot of anguish over the choices available, and I'd like to add support to this aspect of the process. When someone that I've met with chooses someone else for their photographer, I'm often quite sad when they say that they like my work, but chose someone else because of price or package or convenience or any other of those types of reasons. When someone says that they liked another photographer more then me then I feel happy for them. I feel like they made the right choice.
Try going with that kind of instinct and see what happens.
Does that help at all in the decision making process?
Advice on choosing vendors
I agree!! I am a big believer in choosing someone that I feel comfortable with. As a matter of fact, I chose my photographer because I knew he would be the type of person to help me relax. Just in our short meeting time, I knew that I was dealing with someone who would help keep me together the day of the wedding. To me that's something that really matters!!
