Brides to Be Get Together II

I'm very disappointed at the lack of attendance at today's function. The turnout was poor (at best). For those who didn't attend, you missed a great opportunity to meet two of the nicest wedding professionals I've come across during my wedding planning experience. To Rob and Bruce of Starlight Productions, I want to thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to meet with Ayanna and myself to discuss various wedding issues. You two were very sweet and I will definitely recommend you to any future brides I encounter.

Thanks again.

Sharon (and Mom)

Brides to Be Get Together II

I just want to mention that I WAS THERE! I drove all the way from Greenlawn to Massapequa...I was there at 11:05 till 11:15. I saw a party to the right which was a baby shower, but I saw nobody else. There was no indication at all that there was a gathering there! I was deeply disappointed. I really enjoyed the last gathering primarily because we all knew specifically where to meet, and if you were sitting in a specific area that was designated ahead of time..then it was clear who those people were. This time it was in a restaurant. I wandered around and stood by myself at the front door....but how was I to know which stranger was part of the Bride to be gathering? I waited 15 minutes..and realized that there should have been more information given out ahead of time for the girls to feel confortable enough to approach total strangers! I am sorry...but the first gathering was far more easier to do than tapping on peoples shoulder in a sizzler..saying "excuse me..are YOU with the "bride to be" party?.... Just my humble opinion. I looked forward to this gathering and I feel very let down!

Brides to Be Get Together II

I had wanted to go, but it was a difficult weekend. This was the only weekend that I could get my house in order for the holidays (decorations and other stuff), and I also had a lot of family to visit for Thanksgiving. I think this might be true of many on this message board. This was a very busy weekend generally for several reasons.

I'm sorry to hear that the turnout was so bad. I was still traveling out of state (with traffic it took practically the whole day!) I really wanted to come since the last one was so much fun, and was disappointed that I wasn't able to. Probably alot of people has the same circumstance as I did, so I would love to try another date sometime for a get together!

Take Care! Hope everyone's holiday was great!

Debby,

I am sorry to hear that you missed us. We did make the management and the wait staff of the Sizzler aware of our gathering ahead of time. We also displayed our company jackets at the table to draw attention to ourselves. Once again I am sorry we missed you.

Debby!

Hi ya Honey! I looked forward to seeing you again as well! I arrived there late (I am on crutches!) and I almost left too! The first person that I asked said that there was not a wedding thing going on, so I asked her to ask a manager and he knew where it was. I think it was a little ambiguous as well. It is unfortunate b/c I agree with Sharon, Rob, Bruce, and Bruce's wife (who looks SOOO familiar to my aunt and I!!!!) were absolutely wonderful! If I wanted a DJ, I would use them simply b/c they are genuine (and also if they had ALOT of R & B (smile)!!!. I learned so much and I took notes! It was worth it!

We will just have to plan another one! Even moreso after we are married so that we can help others on the site who are planning! Okay Sharon, that means you're going to be helping all of us soon!
