Chateau Briand vs. Woodbury Country Club and other questions....

Any Woodbury CC brides out there? I think I've found one. Not sure if the lack of other brides should make me nervous. I'm trying to decide between Woodbury and Chateau. If you looked at Woodbury and are getting married somewhere else, why did you choose elsewhere? I appreciate anyone's comments, positive and negative!

Food? I've never had either place's food.
Service?
Pictures? I LOVE Woodbury's outdoor setup, but if it rains....what do you do? Chateau Briand has less to offer in grounds but if it rains I like their indoor area better. My heart is torn!

Did you decide on Woodbury CC? I didnt chose that place because of the lack of view for the indoor ceremony. I ended up choosing CHateau Briand because of the different scenes, plus we have such a great price! I did prefer a little more greenery but if the weather permits we plan to go to Old Westbury park which is 5 min drive away. We have such a nice option for ceremony outdoor and expecially indoor. i fell in love. Next we have the option to either have the cocktail hour indoor or outdoor. they're indoor cocktail hour room is spectacular with a spinning piano that can be played during cocktail hr. Plus we have options to sit outside during that time as well. To have an the indoor/outdoor option make our choice a little easier. Lastly, I'm in love with the Saturnia room!!!!!!!!! what a nice, updated and modern room. My FH and I were tied between Crest Hollow but our problem with CH was the reception rooms and the indoor ceremony rooms. It's so old and I am not a fan of the 80s carpeting.

We just booked yesterday and so far, we're super excited!

Yes! We went with Woodbury CC. I am so excited you chose CB! I agree with you on the Cresthollow 80's rugs.I wasn't feeling the rooms there. I was SO close to going for CB but I think my fiance had it in his heart to go for Woodbury, so that broke the tie for me!

I can't wait to see how everything goes for you. Now that we've booked I feel a lot better, but I am finding wedding planning a lot less 'fun' than everyone said it is!! Just a little overwhelmed. This site is great- it's good to have the support!

Yaaay. I can't wait to see/read how your wedding planning is going and how your wedding turns out. It's funny you said your fiancé helped your decision, mine did too. He seemed to be stuck on Chateau Briand more than the other 12 venues we visited. Once he negotiated the price down three times which wasn't easy, I knew this place was meant to be despite the lack of greenery. Our photographer will make it work. :)
