Christmas Wedding Ideas?

I am getting married Dec. 2, 2000 at the Crest Hollow Country Club. I want to do a x-mas theme- so far bridesmaids will be in red, favors will be ornaments, and we will do a x-mas centerpiece. Does anyone have any other/different suggestions? Also does anyone have any ideals for a good site to take indoor pictures. I heard there is a mansion on Long Island somewhere that will let you rent it by the hour, but I have not been able to locate it.

I made something a little original. I took a music saying, printed them, or you can hand write them on to paper. Mine was "Life put's the Music in Laughter, The Beauty in Song". My fiance is a musician so it's related in some way. Anyway, I go to Michael's crafts and pick up 10 - 12 frames and mattings 5 x 7 and place the saying in the matting and then frame it. Frames are 2 for 5.00 and mattings are on sale a lot, 2.99 each. Handwriting on paper is free. Just need paper and nice pen. You could do a saying that relates to the two of you or here are some: "Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much" or "Grow old with me, the best is yet to be". Just some examples. People loved them at my sister's wedding and people hung them up in their homes. GOod Luck

Christmas Wedding Ideas?

I was just telling a friend the other day that if I had it to do all over again I would plan a December wedding!! All of the churches and halls are decorated very nicely, I think that x-mas ornaments make great favors that will be reused year after year. With holidays like Kwanza and Hanukkah you can do great candle center pieces, or even little miniature x-mass trees. You could also name your tables things like manger, mur, frankincense, Bethlehem All of your guests are filled with the holiday spirit with the added joy of celebrating your marriage. Good luck to both of you I think that you have a great season for a wedding!!!

Christmas Wedding Ideas?

I went to my cousins wedding this past weekend and she had the Christmas theme. It was quite beautiful! Her brides maids wore black...(velvet tops). They all carried holly! The holly was covered with the berries..so it looked pretty up against the black dresses. On the pews she had white bows with a small piece of holly in the center. The church was filled with pointsettas. As a matter of she has one pointsetta plant on each table at the reception. Nice touch from a distance...but I could not see the person across the table from me. The tablecloths were Christmas...and she did have Holiday songs playing at the cocktail hour. Just some ideas for you..

I have not picked the dresses yet, I just know that I want red. Either a ruby or a crimson, something deep. I saw a very nice one with velvet on top and chiffon on bottom. I also like the idea that was posted with the black dresses and having the girls carry holly with red berries. Now I am torn!! Is your wedding in early or late Nov. If I were having a early Nov. wedding I would love to do choclate dresses. If it is after Thanksgiving than I would go with red.

I hired carolers to greet my guests in the lobby as they arrived. They were in full victorian dress. Everyone raved at how nice it was! My whole wedding was Xmas themed, too much stuff to fit in this box :) Feel free to email me for ideas... [email protected]
