Have Caterer/ Need Site

I am doing things a bit backwards. I have a friend that wants to do the catering. I faith in his ability. However, I need a site to have my reception. Its probably going to be over 250 people. PLEASE HELP WITH SUGGESTIONS. Thanks

I'm not into the flashy lights & the club scene or DJs that try to overpower the music. His equipment is modern, only needs a small area to set up ..... He's been in business for over 15 years so you know he's established. He's within your range so give him a call - 718-321-3162 For whatever its worth, tell him I sent you. Our wedding is this March 25th at the Carriage House @ Milleridge.

Thansk for your help!

I know the Untington Townhouse allows you to use your own caterer. I went to a wedding there last February and it was great. I don't knwo if it's your type of place but it might be worth checking out.

Stay away from the Huntington Townhouse!!!!! If you want details, I will divulge, but trust me on staying away from it!!!!

I am catholic and my fiance is jewish. The reverse of your situation. Anyway, we are having a reverenend and a cantor perform our ceremony. They will be incorporating both traditions from both faiths. The reverend's name is Rev. Susan Marlan. We met with her first and liked her alot. She is an Interfaith minister and very receptive to customizing the ceremony. The cantor is somebody she recommended and has worked with many times before. Let me know if you're interested and I'll send you her number.

Good luck in your search for an officiant. We did have some difficulty. Many of the other rabbis we spoke to did not want to co-officiate a ceremony. We wanted both to be represented. But once we found Rev. Marlan things worked themseleves out.

I'm curious as to what happened becasue I know my friends were happy there.

I'm having Celebrity Music for my wedding too. Jay Letterman (he does a show at night on WALK-FM is great. He has a website at www.celebmusic.com where you can e-mail him your details and get a quote. Or you can call.

Good Luck!

The people who were showing us around were trying to tell us that they were the owners of the Huntington Townhouse, when in fact the bank owns it. There were many rumors that they were going bankrupt. They wouldn't come to the phone ever. The $25 deposit I gave to hold the date for 2 weeks took 6 months to come back to me when I cancelled. Just so many things that didn't give me any confidence at all. Not to mention that my parents couldn't stand the way that Elliot (one of the so called owners) was talking to them as if they were 5 years old.

I need a Baker/Designer to make me a stack of drums - cake in my fiance's drum set color. Any suggestions????? MY GROOMS CAKE

Good Luck!
