Marriott Islandia Reception - Looking for DJ/Photo

I would love to hear some feedback on the Marriott Islandia. I am about to secure an October 2000 reception date. I am also looking for a great photographer and DJ. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Looking for dresses can drive you insane! I also had to decide between a traditional wedding dress with lace, and a modern, summery and elegant dress. I kept wishing I could buy all 5 dresses I fell in love with, and change every hour. But at some point you just decide, and then go with that look. Good luck!

Marriott Islandia Reception - Looking for DJ/P

Hi Sara. I am in the process of booking High Energy Entertainment. They did my sisters wedding 5 years ago and were awesome. I didn't know he was still around. I loved him. He is $775.00 total. No-one sat down all night. I didn't think I would like the give-away thing (hats, shakers, leighs, etc.), but the people had soooo much fun. Every time I look at her video, I remember the people that are still talking about her wedding. If you need his number email me. Also, I hired Rick & Co. Great GUY!! Great Package. Video and Photo for $3,200.00

I love the idea of spreading good will but I also like giving my guests something to go home with.

Thanks for the info. I will check those suggestions out. - Sara

Nightmares, huh? Your nerves are getting the best of you... Let's pray that he has your check! I agree that you should call on Friday to remind him and then call on Monday and find out the best time to pick it up! If he does not have your check--GO OFF!!!!! Money is not a game that he can play with and be very stern with this guy! Let him know that you mean business and that your next step will be to contact your "uncle" who is an attorney (a small un-truth). I know that you need the money, but if he does give you the run-around, you have a valid contract so you have every right to take him to court. That doesn't help much now, but you at least have a final recourse.

I figure that, though he sounds like a real schmuck, he is a business man so he probably will reluctantly give you your money back!!!
