Off Season Wedding Venue

Does anyone have any examples that they could share for off season venue pricing on long island? Recently engaged and feeling overwhelmed by number of places! Looking ideally for a place that holds 1 wedding at a time and can fit 200 people comfortably. thanks!

RE:Off Season Wedding Venue

I got married in December and looked exclusively at one wedding at a time, off-season venues. Ignore all the first offer pricing, everyone was very amenable to negotiate! If you’re on a tight budget, Sea Cliff Manor is extremely competitive and offered us something around $75pp, no venue fee. The Lessings venues almost all offer an all-inclusive winter wedding package that includes flowers, DJ, transportation, officiant, everything for around $15k (2017 pricing). I didn’t choose one of those, but I got married at The Mansion at Oyster Bay (it was called The Woodlands at Woodbury last year!) because they were so flexible and I was able to afford a truly spectacular wedding. At the time they weren’t a Lessings venue but they are now.
Not sure where you’re looking or what your parameters are, but venues are very keen to negotiate for off-season weddings. First things you can get rid of are usually site fees, and then you can probably knock them down 10 – 20%. You’re not going to throw a $100k wedding for $15k, but you’ll probably be able to afford what would be a Saturday June wedding on a Saturday in December.
That was my experience. Good luck!

RE:Off Season Wedding Venue

Thank you so so much. I am actually wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing more about your wedding as that is actually my top choice location! I am curious if you enjoyed the venue and if they do their cooking on site. Any change maybe you could send me a message? Thank you so so much.
