Father/Daughter dance songs

Hi, Brendan!

If you'll notice, the bottom of the LIWeddings homepage has a list of song suggestions...and it's even itemized for father-daughter songs. With the situation you described, I would select a Frank Sinatra song...like "The Way You Look Tonight" or some others...it focuses on the present, instead of sobbing on about the history between the father and daughter (like some of the other songs). Besides, Frank is usually upbeat. Regardless, pick a song that focuses on "the now".

Just a suggestion...my suggestion. Good luck :-)

Father/Daughter dance songs

Why not have him pick the song? It will take the pressure off of her & will also make him feel important.

I'm getting married in March 2000 & just spoke with my dad about this on Friday. Opting not to dance to the traditional "Daddy's Girl", HE wanted to dance to his wedding song with my mom (she's since passed away). I never would have thought of it....it will make him happy and its one less thing for me to decide on! Good luck!
