I set the date!!

I am so happy!! This weeekend we finally booked the church and the hall! We got engaged in August and after looking at over 25 places, getting discouraged, almost flying to the islands to get married, we finally took some time off, planned and had our engagement party on Nov 19 and resumed looking and finally found the perfect place for us! We booked the Watermill in Smithtown and feel so great about it! We decided to go with Saturday, January 13 2001, which saved us alot of money and enabled us to actually have a Saturday night wedding! It still is close enough to Christmas that the decorations will still be up, the place is really cozy and decked out with white lights at night, the guy who we dealt with seems wonderful and finally we are so happy with planning our wedding!! We had stressed so much in the previous months that is really wasn't fun!

Of course, we had alot of people (his family really) making comments on how cold and miserable January is and what if it snows and no one can come, ect... which upset us at first, but we haven't let it dampen our spirits and are sooooo happy!

Sorry this was so long, but I am so happy that the date is finally set, now 13 months is going to go so fast :)

You set the date--Yippee!!

Lori:

I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!! I remember at the first "get together" you were unsure of having the wedding here or the Caribbean! Isn't it exciting to finally have a date and actually be booked somewhere? I have heard WONDERFUL things about the Watermill, so I know that you will have a beautiful wedding and life together!

Congrats to you both and good luck!

Hi Lori!! I'm soo excited for you! I'm also having my wedding at the WaterMill!! Larry and I visited sooo many halls, but really fell in love with the WaterMill. So far I've only heard good things. My wedding is August 13,2000, so I'll let you know how everything was. I live in Canada now, so everytime I come home, I always pop up at the Watermill, just to check it out again or ask another question. I delt with Brian, and he was really nice and helpful. My next trip home, I'm gonna book hotels in the area, did you meet with samantha yet?? She is their party consultant, she was also very helpful. Well have fun planning!!! Good Luck

Natasha
